"Hey, you know it's rude to listen to music when a teacher is talking." Cade said, leaning over and pulling my left earbud out.
"You know it's rude to disrupt someone who was just about to get into it." I said turning around to send him a death glare. He'd been annoying me for the past half an hour by asking questions or throwing paper balls at me to make sure I didn't get time to enjoy listening to Lana.
He snickered, "I'm not disrupting anyone, in fact I'm saving you from listening to that depressing shit all day. My friend went through a similar phase, she would play Lana Del Rey all morning and night and guess what? All it did was make her sad..and weird."
I narrowed my eyes. If we were in any other setting besides school I would've probably strangled him by now. No doubt it was another one of his tactics to get a rise out of me. But as always, I'm smarter then majority of the highschool school male population and simply sighed and said, "Can you please just leave me alone?"
"Now where's the fun in that? Besides, I enjoy watching you try to suppress your anger." He snickered.
"I'm not attempting to suppress anything, I think it's clear how much I dislike you."I said, putting on my bitch face to cover up the fact that he was reading me like an open book.
He chuckled, "You say that now."
"I don't like you nor will I ever Cade." I practically growled.
"I like 'em feisty." He said, smirking.
"Where, in your tiny, egotistical mind did you ever get the idea that I like you? I don't know where you get off of thinking you have a chance or that there's an 'us' but I'll be very clear. This isn't gonna be one of those wattpad stories where something crazy happens and you end up living with me or working for my dad and after we spend time together we gradually start becoming closer and I realize it was you all along. This is real life okay? And I'm here for 7 hours every Monday through Friday just like you. And like 800 other people. So you can stop with this stupid connection you think you have with me."
By now people were turning around, curiously watching as I chewed him out. I knew if I didn't stop Mr. Thompson would kill me.
He placed a hand over his heart, "Ouch Kaitlyn, how your breaking my heart. I can't even fathom the stars and constellations knowing your loath of me."
I knit my eyebrows trying to keep a straight face, "What did you just quote?"
"Shakespeare" he said smirking.
"That wasn't Shakespeare you dumbass," I said laughing, "You literally threw big words in a bag and put it all in a sentence."
"MS. COLEMAN!"
Oh shit. He was pissed. I turned around slowly, all eyes on me.
I cleared my throat, "Sorry...sir" I'd never called my teachers sir, I'd always call them mrs. or mr. blank, but today seeming as I was in massive trouble I thought maybe it would soften him up a little. Apparently it did little considering the blue vein that was still bulging out of his neck.
"PRINCIPALS OFFICE. NOW."
I quickly got up and practically ran to the door--anything to get out of that room with all those judgmental stares. Behind me I heard him say, "YOU TOO CADE RICHARDS."
The door closed and moments later Cade came out looking smug as ever.
"Miss me?"
-
"Kaitlyn, Cade, c'mon in."
I get up and walk towards the door. I think it was safe to say I was scared as hell, but hey, there's first times for everything. I trail behind Cade, lowering my head. He holds the door open for me and I nod and hear a chuckle from the principal
