Beep, Beep, Beep, God that noise was annoying. I opened my eyes, where was I? The room was bright and dull, a singular TV in front of my bed. I'm set up to a heart monitor and a IV attached to me. What happened why am I in a hospital? Where's my wife at, what happened to her? I start searching the bed for a help button I need to know what happened. I finally find the bed remote and the button that is on it. I press it hoping, praying that someone will rush into the room to answer my questions. Immediately a nurse enters the room as if she heard my prayers. Her blonde hair was up in a bun and she looked down at me with her brown eyes. "Your finally awake! Your wife was so worried Mr. Monroe" the nurse says. Looking at her name tag it seems her names Rebecca. "Where am I.. Uh Miss Rebecca?" I say.
"Your in the northern flower hospital sir!"
"Northern flower? I... That's not a hospital here in Maryland"
"You aren't in Maryland.. Your wife told me you guys moved here two years ago, have you started losing your memories sir?"
"No? I.. Where's my wife? She was in the wreck with me!"
"What wreck? You fell down the stairs and hit your head"
"No.. I.. You said my wife talked to you right? Please call here I need to talk to her"
The nurse sighs and nods. "I'll call her" she mutters. Why did she get upset? I didn't even say anything bad. That's just odd. Everything feels so off, I remember getting into a wreck but never moving here. I remember my wife's head crashing into the dashboard of the car and seeing blood. I remember glass getting everywhere, I remember getting hurt by it and most importantly she got hurt. That nurse Rebecca, she said Evelyn talked to her. Is Evelyn okay? Is our child okay? Maybe I'm just reliving the past, maybe I did lose my memories. Just then Evelyn walks into the room I look up at her. Evelyn's blonde hair is up in pony tail and her blue eyes stare down at me. "The nurse told me you weren't having the best time remembering things! Are you okay?" Evelyn asks as she throws her arms around my neck. "I'm..me.. How are you? How's the baby?" I asked. "Uhm Mason is fine moms baby sitting him, the nurse said you should be able to go home" Evelyn beamed. "But.. I just woke up, shouldn't I wait a couple of hours? Or don't they need to check up on me a lit-" I start but immediately get cut off. "No we are going home now!" Evelyn pulls the IV out of my arm and removes the heart rate monitor off of me. She grabs my arm and pulls me out of the hospital bed. Where I immediately fall. I groan as I get up. "Evelyn.. Your acting strange I shouldn't be able to go home so soon.. Even so I need to change into a different outfit." I state clearly confused. Evelyn let's go of me and opens a cabinet in the hospital room grabbing civilian clothing and handing it to me. "Uhm.. Just give me a sec Evie" I say. I quickly change out of the hospital gown and into the sweatpants and T-shirt. "Now your 100% sure that the nurse said to leave?" I ask. "Yes. We must go immediately" Evelyn grabs my arm. She leads me out of the hospital where none of the staff seem to care that we are just leaving. "Evelyn this is seriously weird... Hospitals don't typically work like this" I stammered. Evelyn doesn't answer me and instead drags me out to the car.
