You asked him to be your girlfriend. He had just a left a relationship that only involved intercourse. He was your friend before all this and you seen it as an opportunity to make a move. In reality you probably shouldn't have. You just really liked him. You wanted to give him the love and adoration he deserved (the same you also deserved). He said yes. You were ecstatic, you told him it wouldn't be perfect but that you could do this. He wore a mask because he had people in the past make fun of his face. You couldn't understand why. His eyes were a beautiful blue. If you stared too long you think you would fall in love. You couldn't help but be lovestruck when you seen his face for the first time as his girlfriend. You didn't like him for his looks you had liked him because he opened up to you and no one else and as a friend that always made you feel special. You would let someone walk all over you if they called you there friend (you had dealt with trauma as a child. Always having to fit a standard that made everyone else happy. You couldn't help but be a people pleaser). You knew as his friend even then that he was beautiful (even only seeing his eyes) but that wasn't the reason you loved him. He treated you with love and always gave you the best advice you could ask for and he could make you laugh. He made you feel special and loved unlike the relationships before. You didn't feel like it was a one sided conversation. He made efforts too. He flirted and made you feel like you were the only girl in the world.
