I was sitting on the couch, switching between channels, looking for something interesting that could be on. The news, boring cartoons meant for 3 year olds, advertisements, and so on. I sigh and turn off the Tv.

"Nothing?" I turned and saw my older-identical-twin sister, she is dressed in large baggy pants, a tight, black shirt that has a star on the chest area, and her hair is loose.

"Nothing interesting. Where were you?" I see she had a bag with something inside.

"Shopping with some of my friends. It's not just all about studying and staying inside on break. Then again that is kinda fun, the part on chilling not the studying part. Either way, I gotcha something," she throws something at me and I see it's (small item you have always wanted).

"No way it's (small item you have always wanted)!" I smiled happily and examined the item. "Wait, what is this for? What did you do?"

"Nothing! I just wanted to be nice, that's all." She put the bag down. "Either you be grateful or I take it for myself instead. I can't believe how much it costs."

"You paid for it you idiot so don't start complaining."

"I'm not complaining, not really at least."

"Whatever, but why did you buy it?"

My sister sighed and just walked away, "Happy late birthday. I didn't get ya anything that day. Just wanted, in a way, to repay ya."

Our birthday was a couple of days ago, I gave her a gift which was something that she was longing for but she had nothing for me. It was ok I supposed but now seeing that she actually cared about that small detail made me feel a bit happy inside.

"Who the heck made the room a mess!!??" My sister yelled from our room.

Did I mention it made me a bit happy? Yeah.

I soon ran towards the door and tried putting on my shoes as quickly as I could. "Damn shoes!"

"Y/N!!!" I heard my sister yelling as she was running down the stairs.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!"

I was now walking to school, break ended yesterday and honestly, it didn't feel much like a break. I spent most of it cleaning up the room. I'm in my last year of middle school and entrance exam are coming up though I don't have to worry about it just yet since freshman year is here in the school but officially I will be in high school after my freshman year or after ninth grade.

When will I be able to leave this place and live a comfortable life where life does not matter? A life in which every little girl can dream: a flower shop or a cafe and a small but comfortable house out in the countryside.

"Sometimes I wish you would pay more attention in school. You always seem to be in a daze," I look over at my sister who was fixing her hair.

I looked down and saw the puddles of water here and there that reflect the morning sky and anything that covers the sky such as the white-blue clouds.

"I know but school is so boring! The teacher is so boring that I kid you not. He talks so monotone that it feels like he's casting a spell to put me to sleep just to yell at me!" I complain and look at my sister who finished fixing her hair.

"Do you at least know what you would like to be in the future? We won't stay in school forever you know."

"I know but..." I stopped walking and looked at her, she stopped wanting and looked towards me. "I would like to live a life far away from here. I would like to be surrounded by something else that matters in life and not work until I drop dead. I would like to be anything but work in an office all day. I want to be free to do what I please," I rant.
