(Y/n's POV)

As i got ready to go for my nightly walk to collect herbs i got a feeling of eyes on my back, i flipped around only to see nothing there. I'm just paranoid. I told myself, I continued to put on my shoes and proceeded to the herbs just a mile away down the road. No matter what i did i couldn't shake that feeling.

I walked down the rocky, dirt road that leads to my house. It was almost pitch dark but thanks to my amazingly sharp sense of sight i could still find my way like every other night. I approached the sparkling  water of the lake that rested by my house, gingerly running my hand through the water. The herbs I collected at night were just a few feet from my reach when It attacked. I screamed in pain as the demons claws dug into my chest. My mind went blank in fear when the demon looked at me with those bright green and red pupils. I struggled to get free form the firm grip on my chest from it's claws but managed it right before the demon swiped at me. Then i booked it to my house only to find that the demon had killed and eaten half of my last remaining relative, grandpa.

There was blood all over the walls, floors, and furniture. I made me want to puke. I was too focused on my now dead grandfather to notice the demon attempting another attack on me. By the time i turned around the demon was launching itself at me. I closed my eyes tight, bracing for impact, but it never came.

When I opened my eyes i saw a person with a black and white, striped haori. His face was unique with its different colored eyes, one yellow and one dark green, short black hair, and wrapped mouth and chin.

"Wh-who are you?" I asked him. Stuttering in pain from the deep wound across my chest. He didn't reply for a few seconds.

"Iguro Obanai. And you better get that wound treated before it gets infected." Obanai suggested.

But i never heard that last part. I fainted from blood loss just before he could finish his sentence.
