Lessons Learned

Lesson 1|Part 1

"Oh thank God." he said with relief. Smiling I turned around again and saw Ms. Sandler standing in front of the classroom waiting for the two of us to stand up. She looked angry and old as usual. And the reason I don't love her is that, well I don't know, just no one loves her and she doesn't love anyone either, so I guess it's all cool.

She started off by saying:

"Okay everyone, so today we have a new person joining us. Please say hello to.." Then she stopped and turned to the boy beside her. Oh there was boy beside her. Well, that's a little weird for me to not notice him because I always notice beautiful creatures with blondish brown hair, amazing blue eyes, and a great smile. Okay seriously though. He was hot.

Whatever back to where I was. Yeah she said:

"What's your name again?"

The boy answered:

"Colin, sir. Colin Scott Parker."

"Yeah Colin." she finished.

Everyone said "Hi" I except for me because, well, I was kinda distracted and forgot what was happening. Ms. Sandler realized that and said:

"Violet, you're not special or anything. Say hi please."

Seriously, what is wrong with this woman?

I said "Hi" to Colin and then turned to Ms. Sandler and gave her an "are you happy now?" look. Though she probably didn't understand because she didn't do or say anything. But Colin did something I wasn't expecting and said "hi" to me in return. Wow, and he's a gentleman.

Ms. Sandler asked him to find a seat and sit so she could start the class. Colin chose the seat right next to me and sat, and that was the time I noticed that three super annoying girls were into this new guy. Oh then I guess I better be friends with him, right?

I turned to the new guy, Colin, and said:

"Hey, welcome."

With a smile on his face he looked at me and said:

"Thank you." He kept looking at me for a few seconds, but turned around when I stopped looking at him.

When I heard the bell, I woke up from my sweet dream and looked around to see if Kiera arrived yet, but instead I saw Colin standing beside me.

"You literally slept the whole period." he said laughing.

"Yeah I know. I just don't really love this woman and I was also tired." I replied. He just simply smiled.

"Umm so I guess you're Violet, ha?"

"Yeah. I'm Violet Nolan. Nice to meet you."

He giggled and said:

"Wow we met like three times today."

"I know right?" I said. "So what's your next class?"

"I guess it's History. What's yours?"

Before I could answer Rebecca came and stood between us. Then she turned to Colin and said in a flirty way:

"Hi Colin, it's very nice to meet you. I'm Rebecca."

"Yeah I'm probably not gonna remember that." he responded quickly. To be honest I was kinda shocked because no guy is usually rude to Rebecca or the others because they basically run the school. But Colin looked so confident.

Rebecca tried not to show her anger, but it was so obvious that she was mad. She didn't say anything and left with the other two.

I turned to Colin and said:

"Wow. That was brave. Why did you say that?"

"I don't really know. They didn't look so sweet."

And we both laughed to that.

After the first five periods Kiera and I went to the cafeteria and started eating very fast. Then Jacob joined us and he ate even faster. I guess we were just very hungry. When we finished our food Kiera asked:

"So Violet. Rebecca's again going on and on about you being a slut. What's up?"

"A slut?" I asked surprised.

"Yep. That girl is really stupid. Why is she just creating things out of nowhere and spreading them to people."

"Oh my God. Does everyone think I'm a slut now? What the hell Kiera?"

"It's all fine, don't worry. She just told everyone that you were with that new guy and obviously she's jealous. So no one cares."

"She really is with that new guy though." said Jacob joining the conversation.

"What? Really?" Kiera asked.

"No. We just talked for a minute or two." I denied.

"Yeah yeah, oh here he comes." Jacob said and pointed to a direction. Oh, he really was coming.

The moment before he arrived to our table my phone rang. My mom was calling and my mom doesn't usually call me so I was a little scared. And I guess I was right to be because that call was the start of this whole new journey. The journey of me learning things.

!!!ATTENTION:I also wanted to clarify a few things. Probably some of you realized that this chapter wasn't exactly about the "first lesson" and that is because it will take at least one more chapter for you to understand the first lesson: Life is never fair. So this chapter was like a little intro for the story. And in the next chapter everything will get a little clearer.

So as I said there will not be one lesson for each chapter because otherwise this book will only be ten chapters long- great math, I know- and it would be impossible for me to tell everything in ten chapters.
