A/N: Before we start the fic off, I want to say I am sorry for not posting fanfiction in a long time. Truth to be told, I don't write fanfics anymore. At least in general, but I will keep the ones I want up and my other fics I don't want anymore to be deleted. If you want to read my archived fics, those will be available on my Google drive once they are up. That's all I will say.

I will most definitely be posting my original work from now on, which will be my poems as I've been writing poetry since I was 17, therefore, I will post them here. I don't know when that's going to be, but when I do, I'll definitely keep you updated. As for if I want to have L and Light be married in my timeline, yes. It'll definitely happen. I can't say when, but it will happen. And I'll be glad to write it when the time happens. Thanks for reading this, I hope you enjoy what I wrote in my break at work. Don't forget to leave a review, vote and follow.

Light was always a bright student ever since kindergarten. By 1st grade, he became an honor student and was reading more than ever, consisting of reading in a 5th grade level. He always did well in school no matter what. The one thing that was hard about school in some degree was the English language. Granted, he's Japanese and therefore, doesn't certain words. L however on the other hand, knows these words because he's British mostly, but has French from his biological father Alden and Russian and Italian from his mother Karina.

One day, Light was trying reading a book from L's personal library and there was a word he didn't know from it. "L, what does meticulous mean?" He asked him, not knowing the word exactly.

"It means showing great precision to detail. In other words, very careful and precise." L said, looking up at him as he was solving a brain book. It was mostly a crossword and the detective sure loves brain books because he was properly trained as a detective at Wammy's House to use these books a lot, even before when he was entering 2nd grade, three months before being taken to Wammy's House itself.

As Light continued to read, he found himself engrossed by the novel itself and smiled, knowing L has excellent taste in books. From Catcher In The Rye to a great mystery novel. He was grateful to have a husband like him, knowing he will always provide a book to him no matter what, even if it's too American in a way for Light to like. He then hugged L and kissed his cheek, which made him blush and smile sheepishly.

"Glad to see you enjoying your book." L chuckled, solving the country Afghanistan in his crossword book. L then decided to play classical music in his headphones for brain development some more and smiled as the sound of Beethoven's music really connects to him no matter what.
