Hi , my name is Layla, and you might be asking yourself, what is this book is all about? and well it's kinda funny actually, but let's just get to it shall we?.
"hey!, wake up, I have to go to work in 20 minutes, so get your butt out of bed!
," I tell my lazy roommate, Mae.
"ugh!, just a couple minutes please i-, wait work?, since when did you get a job?, " she asks while scratching her head.
"two days ago, come on Mae I told you guys this last week, ugh!, just get your sleepy butt downstairs and make breakfast, "I tell her with my arms crossed angrily.
"okay mom, jeez don't get too angry let me freshen up first before you bring in the guillotine," she says with a chuckle.
"I'm not your-, uh, ok I'll be downstairs when you're done okay?," I tell her while walking down the stairs.
"sure, no problemo," she replies, closing the bathroom door.
And eventually she was finished.
"ok Layla, I'm done, how many minutes are you left with now?," she asks sprinting to the kitchen.
"oh, about ten, good thing you don't take too long in the bathroom like most people,"I say that with a giggle.
" well thanks for the compliment I guess, but anyway which place are you going to work at?, "she asks while making her world famous coffee.
" do I really have to start the whole conversation over again, I already told you guys everything, "I tell her with a tired look.
" considering I don't remember that, I don't think the group will either my guy, so yup , "she says with a sorry face.
" uh, ok I work at cookies and tea Café, the new Café in town. "I answer
" oh. my. goddess, cookies and tea is like my favorite café ever, I love the tea there, but not as much as the cookies, they are to die for I'm so happy to have a friend who works there, "she squeeks while giving me breakfast.
" ok, Mae chill, it's practically the only café in town so I get the excitement , but I really hope I get the employee discount," I say while praying to whichever gods are up there.
" yeah, me too, now hurry up or you'll be late, we don't want you to be late the first day, would we?, "she asks with a serious face.
" no , but are you serious because you are excited for me or you just want shares of the employee discount?. I ask with a smirk.
"both now go," she says when putting my cup in the sink.
"okay, but a question, did you make me lunch?, 'I start laughing.
" Layla, leave now!, "she yells and Chuckles while pushing me out of the door.
" fine, see you later, bye, "I tell her when looking from the window outside" men, that girl needs a life, jeez, "I say walking down the path.
" I heard That!, "she shouts poking out the window.
" I know you did!, "I shout back.
