Sera blinked, her surroundings forming around her as if she'd stepped into a painting. Tall trees stretched above, their branches draped in rich, fiery colors. Golden leaves drifted through the air, swirling around her feet as she stood in an enchanting, sunlit clearing. She felt like she belonged here, even if she didn't remember how she got here.

Beside her walked a young man, his presence calming yet magnetic. His dark hair caught the light, and he wore a small, gentle smile as he looked at her. The way he gazed at her felt oddly familiar, like a warm memory just out of reach.

They strolled together through the woods, comfortable in their shared silence. At last, he broke it, his voice as soft as the autumn breeze.

"Do you come here often?" he teased lightly, glancing at her with a playful glint in his eye.

Sera laughed, the sound a little unsure, but she felt her cheeks warm. "I don't think so... at least, not that I can remember."

"Strange," he mused, his smile widening, "because it feels like we've done this before."

"Yeah," she agreed, surprised at how true that felt. "It's like... I already know you." She looked down, almost embarrassed at the words. "But that sounds crazy, doesn't it?"

"Not at all," he replied gently. "I feel the same way." He paused, looking down at the ground before he added, "As if I've been waiting to see you here."

They continued walking, their shoulders brushing now and then as they strolled through a carpet of amber leaves. The colors glowed around them, the light filtering down in soft beams.

After a moment, he stopped and picked something from the ground. When he turned back to her, he held a single red dahlia, its deep color striking against the golden hues of the forest. He extended it to her, his eyes warm and sincere.

"This is for you," he said, almost shyly.

Sera's heart leapt, and she took the flower from his hands with a smile. "It's beautiful... Thank you," she whispered, touched beyond words. She brought it close, breathing in its subtle scent, though the fragrance seemed to blend with the autumn air itself.

"Why a dahlia?" she asked curiously, twirling the stem in her fingers.

He looked thoughtful. "A dahlia symbolizes strength... and a deep bond that can't be broken." He met her gaze with quiet intensity. "Something that feels true, even if you don't understand why."

Sera looked back at him, her heart pounding softly in her chest. "Well, I guess that makes sense. I don't... understand why, but being here with you—it feels like I should hold onto it."

He nodded, his smile a bit wistful. "Maybe that's enough."

They continued to walk, sharing laughter as they talked about favorite memories that neither of them could quite remember clearly. As they walked, he reached out, gently brushing a stray leaf from her hair. Their eyes met, and for a brief moment, the world around them seemed to still.

"Sera..." he started, as if about to say something important. She felt a strange comfort hearing her name from his lips.

But just as she opened her mouth to ask his name, he stopped her, holding her hand a bit tighter. "Don't... don't ask that," he said, his voice soft but firm. "Not yet."

She tilted her head, both curious and confused. "Why not?"

He gave a gentle smile, filled with both warmth and sadness. "Sometimes, a name can break the spell. Let's just... be here, for now."

Sera looked at him for a long moment, then nodded, feeling an odd sense of acceptance. "Alright," she whispered, holding the dahlia to her heart.

As they walked together under the canopy of leaves, she felt an unspoken promise lingering between them. Though neither said it, both felt the silent wish: Let this last. Please, let me remember.
