Luna pov
The gun sound echoed in the house. My father's dead body was lying in front of me. My mother screamed, another gunshot was heard killing my mother." son of a bitch" he said
"good job now go wait in the car". The man took the boy towards the door
"we're done let's go".
"What about the kid?" one of the men grumbled, staring at me. I froze not knowing what to do. "kill her". I panicked hearing the word kill.
The man walked up to me bend down at my level " she looks just like her" he whispered" "she used to love swimming, he continued "let her favourite thing me the cause of her daughter death"
They put my head in the water "NO PLEASE" I screamed. But they were heartless soul's. "NO MOM HELP" That was the last thing I ever blurted.
my eyes snapped open, my heart racing. Groggy and confused. I looked around. My sheets were drenched in sweat, my hair being a mess. Fear is still gripping me, making my skin crawl. I sat up and took a deep breath, willing my racing heart to slow, but the memories of the nightmare lingered, refusing to be shaken.
My door slightly opened, " Are you awake sweetie?" said my uncle. I looked at him and nodded as no voice came into my mouth. "Good get ready or you gonna be late for your university, come fast I made your favourite breakfast, pancakes with extra butter". He stated. I nodded at him again. He smiled and left.
This was my life, a life which I never wished to live. One movement we were a happy family of three enjoying a Christmas movie and in seconds blood was coming out from my parents lifeless body.
I looked at my watch and cursed as I was running late for my classes. I took a quick bath, braided my medium length brown hair and ran downstairs. " Have breakfast," my uncle screamed from the kitchen. I sat down at the table and started shoving the pancakes in my mouth. " Slow down, " my uncle laughed. I glared at him playfully and started eating. " Did you take your meds?" I nodded. "Do you want me to give you a ride? " no I signed. Ava is picking me up". As soon as I said that I heard a Honk.I bid goodbye to him and ran towards the car. "ready?" she said. I gave her a thumbs up and smiled.
Ava was the only friend I had who treats me like a normal person other than my uncle James. I met Ava when in college she is the only one whom I trust with my past. Even though knowing about my entire past she never made me feel unassociated. People don't look at me like I'm some poor mute sad girl whose parents died in the past in one of the most tragic ways. They look at me as an evil selfish girl who didn't even cry when her parents got murder. It's not true I did cry but no one seems to notice that. I don't know what I would have even done without Ava.
Thunder rumbled like a warning growl, and the rain slashed down with a fury that blurred the line between the living and the dead, shrouding the world in a chilling mist. As if the rain is trying to warn me about something. After class I ran towards my part time shop then suddenly I bumped into something, not something but someone. I was about to fall but suddenly a strong arm wrapped around me. I looked at the owner of the hand, Tall, large ,sharp eye that was piercing through my soul. His hair covering his one eye.
His broad shoulders were blocking my view. . I looked at him, feeling an inexplicable connection that both terrified and intrigued me.
"Move". He growled. I froze.
" I said " he looked at me with deadly eyes "Move little girl."
I moved as fast as I could . He stared at me for straight 20 seconds. I bowed my head in apology, His gaze lingered on me, an intensity that sent a shiver down my spine. I again bowed my head and when I looked up he was gone.
That was...... weird. Why was he looking at me like that? I thought to my self.I was about to leave when I stepped on something,it was a wallet. It must be his. I ran towards his direction but he was nowhere to be seen.

The moon hung low in the night sky, casting a silvery glow over the deserted park. I wrapped my shawl tighter around my shoulders, the cool air prickling my skin as I walked along the winding path. I often found solace here, away from the chaos of my life, but tonight felt different-an electric tension hummed in the air.
As I paused to admire the way the moonlight danced on the surface of the pond, suddenly I felt a presence behind me. Turning slowly, I met with the sight of a tall man cloaked in shadows. His dark hair covering his one eye, and his other eyes glinted like shards of glass, sharp and calculating.
"Do you always wander around at night, or is tonight special?" His voice was smooth, but there was an edge to it that sent a chill down my spine.
I swallowed hard, caught off guard by his intensity.
He stepped closer, the faintest hint of a smirk tugging at his lips. "Hello there" said with a soft voice.
What is he doing here? The words echoed in my mind.
He looked at me sharply. " I think you might have something which I might be looking for amour ,"he said. I stared at him remembering the wallet. I rummaged through my bag, pulling out a sleek Gucci wallet, its polished leather gleaming in the light. I held it up for him to see.
" yes... that one thank god". He murmured.
Suddenly I felt a few drops of water pouring into my skin. I raised my gaze. It started to rain out of nowhere.
We both ran for shelter to cover ourselves from the rain. We stood there for half an hour, the rain continuing to pour down around us. I glanced at him thinking he must be feeling awkward, but he was more calm then I'm, staring towards the sky.
It was getting cold, a shiver ran down my spine. I should have brought my jacket. I scolded myself. Out of blue he fixed his gaze to me. Then he took out his coat and gave it to me. I shook my head refusing but he insisted. How did he know I was cold? I wasn't reacting to the cold at all.
I took out my notepad assuming he wouldn't know sign language. What's your name?
I wrote. He just stared at me all the time. I showed him the pad he kneeled down to read. "Dae" he said in his raspy voice, "Dae larousse."
