"I'll see what we have." She said before disappearing to the back.
"Thanks, we could really use this after the day we've had." Kirishima thanked Kaneki after receiving his own cup. After tasting the coffee Kirishima's eyes grew before taking another sip. "Woah this really is good."
"Told you." Kaneki's smile only lasted a mere seconds before their attention drifted over to the TV where another news channel continued to play.
"...Another body was found in the twentieth ward and the CCG are worried that this could be another ghoul attack-"
"Another body?" Bakugo leaned back in his seat as his eyes fixated on the bottom line of the screen. "Ghouls..."
"Y-yeah that's..."
"Nothing new." Touka said as she slid a plate full of food to both girls. "You should eat. Looks like you're about to pass out any minute."
"Oh." Gratefully smiling Uraraka hesitatingly began lifting the cup to her lips, trying to hide the way her hands trembled.
"Yeah, looks like another attack." The guy Hide said as he raised his arms above his head.
"Attack?"
"Ghoul attacks." Hide explained. "I myself don't mind the Ghouls." He lazily stretched as he got to his feet and began raising his hand. "It was nice meeting you guys. See ya later Kaneki!"
"See ya." Kaneki fondly smiled at his best friend.
"He doesn't seem to mind them." Kaminari observed. "That's odd."
"Hide can easily befriend anyone." Kaneki admitted. "Ever since we were kids he always tries to make everyone feel welcomed...including me."
"Must be nice." Uraraka remarked as she timidly tried to reach for some food but stopped when she wasn't sure if she was able to hold anything down.
"Ok stop! Rewind! Back to the ghoul thingy!" Mina raised her hand. "And who's brilliant idea was it to zap us from one horrendous place to another?!"
"Hey don't look at me!" Kaminari feverishly waved his hands in front of his face. "I have no control over that!"
"What are you talking about?" Touka angrily frowned. What was wrong with this girl? And why did she feel the need to flaunt the fact that she herself was a damn ghoul in front of everyone?! Didn't she understand the risk she was taking in coming here! And why did her eyes have yellow instead of the usually red?
What they didn't know was that Anteiku was also a place that provided aid for ghouls in need, managed the feeding grounds of the twenties ward as well as collect food for other ghouls through bodies who were no longer alive due to their own choice. It was horrible in all it's form, but for ghouls...that was the only way to survive the same way humans did. The only difference from other ghouls -like the ones they came across outside- they don't kill any humans.
"Come again?" Mina blankly asked.
"Touka." The older man cleared his throat after putting some supplies away. "That is not the way."
"Well it's true." Touka angrily said.
Snapping out of her thoughts by the sudden CLINKING of glass. Uraraka looked up to see the same girl still glaring at Mina.
"Incidents around here, involving ghouls...?" The girl asked waiting for Mina to catch up, but stopped when she could see none of the dots connecting. "I don't know if you're just stupid or asking to get killed."
"Um Excuse me?" Mina asked offended.
"You know you should really over up..." Kaneki awkwardly added scratching his cheek.
