On the outside the small café was just like any they've ever been to. Comfortable and pleasant with an atmosphere that was warm and welcoming to anyone in need of a warm cup of coffee. The place wasn't necessarily packed, except with maybe three or four customers inside.
Along the table furthest away sat a mother and child talking amongst themselves, near the window sat a guy not that much older than them with short, messy, dirty blonde hair with dark roots and olive eyes that stared at them with pure interest.
The last man there other than the ones working here quietly sat closer to the small bar with silver hair wearing a long overcoat. But what was strange was that instead of the peaceful air the place held...his piercing eyes told them that this guy wasn't particularly fond of new costumers.
"Awkward." Kaminari whispered before raising his hand in greeting. It was either that or become dinner for the two monsters outside.
"Hello and welcome to Anteiku. What can I get for you?" Snapping her eyes towards the friendly voice who greeted them, Uraraka saw an older man who seemed to be in charge of this place.
When the man's eyes met those of the workers they quickly went about their business-all except one who was a girl around their age with dark blue hair. Uraraka wasn't sure why this girl stared at them a moment longer before shooting them a warning glare and moved over to the mother and child. "I must apologize." The older man continued as he approached them. "I'm afraid we don't get too many new costumers these days."
"I wonder why." Bakugo mumbled as he looked over his shoulder towards the door.
"Hey but don't let that fool ya." The boy with the olive eyes widely grinned as he raised his coffee cup to his mouth. "They've got the best coffee here."
Nervously playing with her finger pads Uraraka moved over to sit by the small bar as another boy close to their age with an odd eyepatch turned to greet her next as he nervously rubbed his cheek with his finger. "Hide's right. It seems you guys are in luck. We do have the best coffee shop in Tokyo."
"Great I could use a drink. And coffee too I guess." Mina slumped down on the seat next to her just as Bakugo was on his way there.
"The fuck?"
"What?" Mina innocently shrugged. "Sit somewhere else blasty."
"Well if you guys need anything else my name's Ken Kaneki, so please don't hesitate to ask." He brightly smiled in a way that made Uraraka give a small smile in return.
Turning to get their orders in, Kaneki was startled when the same dark blue-haired girl suddenly appeared next to him, clutching a serving tray to her chest as she suspiciously eyed the five of them. "I don't like this."
"Um...don't like what Touka?" Kaneki confusingly blinked at her.
"We've never seen them here before. Could be spies."
"Spies?" glancing back at the new customers, Kaneki couldn't picture them as spy material especially when two of them seemed to be fighting over just a chair.
"You guys come on. This is embarrassing just sit!" Kirishima desperately tried to cover his face when the mother and child turned to look at them.
Inhaling deeply through his nose Bakugo reluctantly pulled out the chair next to Kirishima before sitting down and accepting the coffee that was offered to him before mumbling. "Thanks."
When he looked down to where Uraraka was still sitting blankly staring at her coffee, Bakugo wondered when was the last time she had eaten. "Do you guys have anything to eat?" Bakugo asked watching the way the blue haired girl bounced her eyes from him and back to Uraraka before nodding.
