Y/N walked into Hawkins High School. She looked around for her best friend, Steve Harrington. After looking around for 5 minutes she finally saw him, she immediately started walking over to him. Y/N caught up to Steve and tapped him on the shoulder.

"Steve, hey Steve!" Y/N yelled to him

Steve turned and jumped slightly at Y/N's sudden appearance. "Jesus Y/N, you almost gave me a heart attack", He chuckled slightly. Y/N laughed and nodded, "Yeah well ill keep trying, anyway did you start asking around yet?". Steve shook his head and sighed. "I told Robin like I said and she'll try to listen around but other then no.." Y/N nods and turn s to Steve, a look of determination on her face. "We will figure it out Steve, we'll just have to go by the day and try to know who has given my number to him".

Steve nodded and walked away, the day went by normal with classes. It wasn't until lunch in the cafeteria Y/N overheard the basketball jocks talking at their usual table, Y/N tried to get closer to hear better. Trying to hear what Billy was saying to his friends, Tommy and Jason Carver. Tommy turned to Billy and asked, "So how did you manage to get L/N's number Hargrove?". Jason then piped up and said, "Yeah tell us Hargrove, no one just gets Y/N L/N's number on a whim!". Billy sighed contemplating what to say.

Billy spoke in his usual firm tone, "I got her number from my little stepsister, Maxine. Maxine is friends with Y/N and she gave Max her number, so I got Maxine to give it to me". Y/N now having found out where and who Billy Hargrove got her number from, Y/N quickly got up and walked away.  When school broke out Y/N looked around for Max, standing at the entrance of the school observing the parking lot. Billy was leaning against his car smoking a cigarette waiting for Max to come out of school, Max stepped out holding her skateboard. Y/N saw max and tapped her quickly, "Max! Max! We need to talk!" Max quickly whipped around and removed her headphones. Max spoke in a confused voice "About what? What's wrong?" Y/N looked at Max and spoke firmly "Why did you give Billy my number? I said don't give anyone my number, especially him!"

Max raised her hands in mock surrender and said, "Don't blame me, he was the one who pressed on about it for so long that our dad made me give it to him, I didn't have a choice. I even tried to make bad excuses to try and not give him your number". Y/N backed off Max and nodded in understanding that it wasn't exactly her fault, and more of Billy being a nuisance. Y/N looked at Max and said, "I'm sorry for being harsh about it.. I just don't want Billy bugging me all the time when I'm trying to do other things". Max nodded, understanding Y/N's reasons as she also found Billy annoying.

As Max and Y/N were talking Billy shouted to Max, "Hurry up Max!! I don't have all the time in the world for your problems!!". Max sighed and Y/N gave him a harsh glare before saying to Max, "You should go before he gets all angry and stuff..." Max nodded and walked away waving bye.
