Creating, creating.

Machine after machine.

Weapon after weapon.

At long last, Japan has built a machine to crush entire cities. Destroy whole populations of people. But today, right here, in a small town in California, a brand new machine was being built to finally take these massive things down.

The V models. Nimble, fast, good in battle, albeit weak, but with the ability to heal through blood-contact on its armor.

They'll easily be able to get inside of an Earthmover, destroy its shielding system and brain, and let the Earthmovers self-destruct. It was perfect, the war would surely be over with this new model.

At least that's what they hoped for.

The prototype was finally finished.

"Let's test it real quick." One of the creators of the V model said; Spencer Benjamin.

"Yeah, let's see if we can improve anything about the mobility..." Another one of the creators replied; Isaac Mills.

Spencer powered it on with a simple click of a button, the "eye" turned yellow, and the wings perked up. The machine was in a small room, with a few platforms extending out of the walls, and a one-way mirror so that Spencer and Isaac could see the machine, but it couldn't see them.

The machine looked around, curious about it's surroundings. It walked around for a bit, jumping around, sliding, slamming itself back onto the ground.

"Seems like it's mobility is perfect." Isaac mentioned.

"The wings still feel like it slows the model a little. We should probably make them a bit smaller?" Spencer suggested.

"Understandable." Isaac shrugged.

The two then brought in a mannequin which was filled with blood from a few willing donors. The machine noticed the mannequin and dashed towards it, punching it until it broke open. The machine absorbed the blood and looked around wildly for another target.

"The blood refueling works!" Spencer seemed glad.

"Good to know." Isaac smiled.

Spencer pushed another button and the prototype was shut off. He went around to the side, and opened a door that lead to a hallway, that lead to the test room. He grabbed the prototype, "Isaac, tell the others to start working on a more refined model. Change the wings a bit, and also improve the shape of the head, arms, and legs."

"Got'cha, pal." Isaac nodded and walked off to another room.

Spencer struggled to open a storage room, eventually he got the door open and shoved the prototype in there, he wiped his hands off, looking at the powered off machine. He sighed, and closed the door, leaving the poor machine stuck in the storage compartment with other prototypes and failed attempts at making the V model.

Pretty soon, V1 was created. It was perfect, it was just the right speed, it passed multiple tests, and was much better than the prototype.

"I'm so glad that V1 was such a success!" Spencer said.

"Me too." Isaac smiled.

"I'm more than confident that these things are going to end this damn war for good." Spencer leaned back in his chair, sighing.

"I won't ruin that confience, then." Isaac stretched and got out of his chair, "Anywho, now that the V model is practically perfect, should we send it out to go take down the nearest Ea-"
