He was just a recently graduated college student. Life was –boring, of course, but liveable.

Even if he wished everyday for something new to happen, he never exactly had the confidence to branch out.

He liked the safety of a normal life. Spending everyday working on cars, and robotics, just to return to his lonely, quiet home where he lived alone, his only greeting being the dust that accumulated over the time he was gone.

But tonight, it was different.

Under his arm he held a box to a VR headset. There were various positive reviews on it, and it seemed to be of relatively good quality once he unboxed it on the living room floor.

He observed its shape and the material it was made of, noting how it was a sheer glossy white on the outside, and the straps looked comfortable enough.
He plugged it into his tv, and sat down on his knees, finally beginning to slip it over his eyes.
It was more of a snug fit than he expected at first, but once it was on, he quickly disregarded it.

All around him looked to be some kind of loading screen. it was black, but then powered on, the image of some kind of mascot with dentures for a head, with eyes in his mouth, smiling and looking toward the viewer if he kept his gaze head on.

it shifts from a dark black to a nearly blinding white, and he quickly covers his eyes just to find that the headset didn't obstruct the path of his hands. He squeezed his eyes shut tightly, feeling as if the fabric of his being was being stretched and contorted around him all until THUD.

"mnhgh..."
he grumbled, still feeling his ears ring as he slowly shuffled up to his knees, looking around to see that he had landed on some sort of.. stage?

"Hey, caine! there's a new guy!" a snarky voice spoke from not too far away. He turned his attention up to see some kind of purple rabbit approaching him with a wide grin.

"Hey, are you a new npc thing or are you from the real world?" The rabbit asks, as now others begin to gather around.
There was A little jester with a worried look, approaching behind some kind of doll with a button for an eye, and then a comedy mask with a ribbon for a body, a chess piece, a little candle with fire for a ponytail, and some kind of abstract art piece that all stepped up with varying reactions, some looking terrified while others couldn't care less.

"where..- What is this place?"
He asked, blinking a couple of times before he finally managed to stand up, hearing a sort of button squeak once he did so. He promptly looked at his hands, only to see that he must've been some kind of toy robot, with curious paws on his hands.
he couldn't... remember being anything other than this, but it still felt so wrong.

"w-what am i?"
He asked, his eyes going wide as he glanced down at his body to see that the rest of him was also some kind of robotic toy.

"Hello, newcomer!! Welcome to the Amazing Digital Circus!!" Caine popped into existence, twirling about before bowing with his hat in hand, flipping it back onto his head just to spin around the new guy and tap their square shaped head with his cane. "I know that the transition from reality to circus is frazzling but I'm here to make you feel rigggght at home! It's wonderful to meet you. I'm Caine. The Ringmaster!"

"t-the amazing.. digital what-" The newcomer mumbled with confusion, shaking his head while now accusatively pointing at the top-hat denture man. "Hey, I didn't sign up for this when I put on the headset."

"You're saying that as if any of us did either..." The abstract creature mumbled with a heavy roll of their eyes as they crossed their arms.

"The Amazing Digital Circus!!" Caine exclaimed once again, doing the entire theatrical spin and top hat lean again.
