Locked in rusting chains
Having no longer a say
"All that is good,"
They pronounce,
"Must stay"
Never looking your way
Hands covered in blood
Not sure if you would
Be considered "good"
They pass you by
Your hands tied tight
Giving the man of good morals a nod
And letting him free
Of his chains
You bow your head and think
"When did my heart
Meld into this bad and evil
That brought me down this path"
It started with justice
What thought good in intention
Ended in chains wrapped tight
Around your shirtless torso
Digging into to you
For all the evil you do
"All those who are evil in heart,"
They pronounce,
"Come forth and let us tear it apart"
The evil you've done
Drags you down before
A cruel man
Who deserves this more than you
As he rips out your heart
Without a thought of just
And no incline that he cared
About another life lost
On the road to morality
