True pain isn't physical
Because he thought he had felt true pain
Adult problems felt whimsical
By a fox with nothing to lose nor gain.
How cute of him, he couldn't take this strife
And met a broken wolf, one that changed his life
A small, random question, just for the thrill
He answered too, a mutual chill
What a crafty wolf mask can start
The fox knew not even close to the end
She listened to all of he thoughts
only agreement and comfort was sent
This soon when on, this idea exchange
Late conversations, humor and thoughts
Affirmations only, no talked about pain
Just joking around, sharing more and more
The nights then went by, and it kind of got worse
He wanted to talk, then her pain came forth
Oh cruel fate, your angel of pain
Sent down on this wolf, with one mind to raze
Your ruthlessly hurt her, send her all of life's hell
From from love pain to stalking to emotional hurt
From blissfully innocent, oh how far she fell
From the clearness of peace, life is a blur
A mind is not a toy, nor her a doll
Is this what you wanted? To see her crawl?
cause you broke her down to her knees
And yet even that didn't work somehow
Because she's stronger than you could dream
She's still going strong, so look out for her prowl
This turned into numbness, days went by quick
A small hidden hobby, till a fox came in the mix
He doesn't want her to hurt, won't let her feel pain
He'd take all the bullets meant for her brain
Friends over lovers, he'd take friends any day
And the pact built with her, never would sway
Love can be swaying, but friendship is strong
While friends are more stable, love isn't wrong
It's just kind of new, the feeling is sheer
But unlike love, friendship is nothing to fear
This the fox takes to heart, a pack of support
When days felt like hell, a safe space he would resort
When days felt a blur, this one was clear
When his mind went to cry, this wolf took the fear
It seemed every day, his mind went to the dark
Voices got louder, tears sometimes shed
Drowning in darkness, this wolf was the spark
A small little chat took all of his dread
A smile, a true one, for the first time in years
Because this little fox had nothing to fear
Finally hope, in acceptance and friends
With all he owed to her, a means to and end
He would never trade anything else for this
A Tricky solution for a mind dark as Onyx
Tricky, you've helped my mental health so much I can't explain it. Just your listening to my thoughts meant a lot to me. I was in a bit of a dark place when I got in contact with you, but you helped me, whether you knew it or not. I owe you a lot more than you know...
Forever in your debt,
Paxton Onyx

A Tricky Solution
PoetryOne of my best friends (named Tricky in here for privacy) pulled (basically dragged) me through a very rough spot in my mental health. I'm feeling much better now and there are no words to thank them fully, but I did try.
