The marriage, by no means, is unwanted.

Only on Yuzuriha's part, at least.

Heiress of the Fujioka clan, Yuzuriha knew she would never marry someone of love. Not when there were more important things at stake. (Like her mother's heirloom)

Love had always been the last thing on her mind, or anyone in the Fujioka clan's mind at this point. Her stepmother nor her father never once brought up the topic directly in all these years, and the marriage proposal letters that were sent to her were thrown at the fireplace promtu.

So, in a way, Yuzuriha never expected it because there was nothing to expect.

At least, until today, that was.

She knew nothing about her fiance. Yuzuriha didn't think she'd want to know anything more aside from the already well-known facts about the man;

Kenzo Aoi is a prosecutor well-known in her country, known for his sharp intellect and unwavering integrity. His family, the Aoi clan, has a long history of successful lawyers and judges, making him a prominent figure in legal circles.

However, the said Aoi clan, long varnished from the face of earth after Fujioka clan, tarnished their reputation beyond salvation.

Quite the romantic story if Yuzuriha had any say in it.

So all things considered, it was odd how they still wished for her hand in marriage (her, the heiress itself) after everything the Fujioka clan had done.

But even then, the strangest thing that came from this whole ordeal (one Yuzuriha still couldn't wrap her pretty head around) was the fact that her own father actually accepted the proposal in the first place.

Among everyone in Yuzuriha's pool of suitors, Kenzo was the least qualified to be his husband.

Hell, even Shizuka, her stepsister is tied to an extremely wealthy man that her brother introduced her to

Definitely not from someone whom her clan had ruined, and they had been ruined thoroughly.

'What if that guy kills me in my sleep as revenge?' Yuzuriha rolled her eyes as she strolled in the mansion

Every servant goes down up, left to right, and vice versa, busying themselves with preparations upon the upcoming celebration of the engagement.

In the corner of her eyes, she caught a glimpse of her stepbrother, Shunsuke, staring at her.

Yuzuriha didn't let her disgust show and just kept walking until she could no longer feel his eyes on her being.

She sighs as a servant calls out to her.

"Miss! Your dresses are ready! Come quick!"

This will be the most tiring turning point of her life.
