Chapter 40: Hello? Hello Hello?

Hell, even the Deagle I'm carrying with me right now is a gift from him.

To be honest, I don't know what he saw in me back then when we first met. I was just some random dude with amnesia, who had gotten lucky in defeating a Tyrant.

Yet... He somehow saw through it. He's the reason that I am who I am today.

And with that, I finished the character description of my boss.

And Syuen's the annoying cousin.

I awaited for either Lilith or Hare to speak up after I finished, but oddly enough, neither of them spoke a word.

It was dead silent in my own head.

I zone back into reality and take one quick look around.

The others are still at their own current objectives. Marian befriending bugs, Neon and Anis goofing around, and Signal is still working hard.

Delta and Rapi are still not back. Worrying, but understandable.

It'll take another 15 minutes until the time they've been out becomes truly worrisome. They have said that if they don't come back within a designated timeframe, something has happened.
