'Now way, my sword! I don't believe it. Are those threads he's controlling even stronger now than the body of the demon back there?' Gripping what was left of his sword Tanjiro desperately watched the two fight. 'And Bakugos fighting for his life...Haganezuka, Urokodaki please forgive me. Due to my inexperience my sword is now broken.' He was able to dodge another attack aimed at him when he let the thought of failing overcome any other thoughts.
"What are you doing?! Get your head in the game!"
'Bakugo's right. Now's not the time to feel sorry for myself. Now's the time to think.' Swiftly moving left then right while avoiding getting diced in half, Tanjiro tried to figure out his next move. 'If I can't cut those threads then I'll just have to meet him head on!' Rolling sideways he took a second to catch his breath as Bakugo did the same. 'It's as if those threads have a mind of their own and are refusing to let any of us get closer to him.' Glancing sideways he could see Bakugo just as frustrated as he glared down at his open palms. 'And it wasn't for where we are then Bakugo could use his so-called quirk and we'd be done with this, but right now he's desperately fighting to keep Rui from killing us while avoiding burning this mountain to the ground.' Inhaling deeply to try and keep the fear in check Tanjiro couldn't help but noticed that despite his tough angry exterior...Bakugo was a caring guy who refused to give up and refuse to be the reason for many more lives being lost on the count of his own power.
"What now? Do you still refuse to take back what you said earlier?" Rui asked as he raised both his hands towards them noticing that neither was willing to give in. "You still refuse? Fine. I'll put an end to you both now."
"Shit!" There was no time, no way out. The number of threads heading their way came from all sides and the more Bakugo tried to burn away the more came in its place. This was insane! How the hell where they supposed to avoid all of them without getting sliced in the process? Even Kirishima wouldn't be able to hold off against all this.
Was this how it was going to end? Was he destined to avoid all those previous close calls Shigaraki, All for One and all those other villains tried to claim his life over and over again...to die in a place no one knew even existed. In a place where he lost his friends...lost his chance to become the hero he wanted to be...and never get to see the smiling face of the girl who constantly haunted his mind only to never get the chance to tell her how much he really loved her. "No." Stubbornly shaking his head he tried to focus his explosions as best as he could. "No way in hell am I stopping here! You hear me?!"
"Bakugo!"
Blood splattered everywhere and it was as if time itself stood still.
Even Rui who stood shock still couldn't comprehend what just happened. 'What? That's not possible...'
"Nezuko!" Tanjiro shouted.
Staring wide eyed at the girl who just blocked the attack with her own body, it took Bakugo a few seconds to realize the box Tanjiro had carried this whole time was now open. "Wait...don't tell me..."
"Nezuko!" She dropped so quickly that Tanjiro barely caught her before she hit the ground, using this time to carry her over by one of the nearby trees as Bakugo quickly followed making sure to keep an eye on a still stunt Rui while Tanjiro was checking on her. 'Nezuko?! Nezuko please hang in there! You protected us. I'm so sorry." Tanjiro whimpered.
"Nezuko?" Looking back at the two on the ground it didn't take Bakugo long to figure it out when he put two and two together. "She's the one you've been carrying around this whole time."
"She is..." Tanjiro shakily whispered watching as the blood continued to pull out of her as tears gathered in his eyes. "She's...she's my sister."
Silently nodding Bakugo couldn't help the unease growing in his stomach as every alarm bells in his head continued to ring out in warning. Her hair was long, black, and wavy and reached just below her waist, turning a flame-orange color as it passed her elbows. He could definitely see some family resemblance except for the fact that she wore a strange bamboo muzzle and the now visible view of her wounds trying to heal themselves which could only mean one thing...
