BOC Snippet 00-4 Minutes-Mended Souls

Start from the beginning

I believed him. Every junior who came to me, all I did was quiz them a few questions about the faculty they are in and with a smile, they got their prize, which was my signature.

But I waited for him. Student after student came and left. I didn't want to leave my spot in the student council office in case I missed him. When I glanced at my expensive watch, there was only 10 minutes left for the day to end and the juniors will have to submit their treasure hunt booklet for points. The bunch with least points, well, they have to do the Fried Chicken dance during the assembly next week. I can't just abolish the bullying tradition so this was the gentlest form of humiliation I could suggest and pushed for.

As I started to pack my bag, the door to my office opened and the one who I was waiting for, finally appeared. He looked really tired and he was huffing and puffing as he tried to catch his breath. I guessed he ran all here from somewhere.

"How can I help you nong?" I asked, my practiced smile slipped on my face like a mask. He took a moment to breath, his small mouth parted slightly. It was an alluring sight. Have it my way, I would have wanted to do something illegal right there than there but it wouldn't worth having to deal with the fall out so that thought remained in my brain.

He wai-ed me as greeting which I returned before he scrambled to fish his treasure hunt booklet from his pocket along with a pen. I guessed that I was the last station.

"C-can you please help me sign this...please?" he asked. I wondered if he knew he repeated his pleases in one sentence? I sat by the edge of my table, adjusting my posture to enunciate my alpha pose but also not in a glaringly alpha way, so not to scare him off.

I flipped through his booklet. With this boy standing in front of me and from my observation of of his personality, it would be a miracle if he could collect every signature of my commitee team of 20 people but what I did not expect was for his booklet to contain only 1 signature and that was the signature of my biggest bully committee mate.

"I see that you haven't gotten a lot of signatures. Did you have troubles finding the seniors?" I said, looking at him. Our eyes met but he looked away quickly. Shy. I liked that.

"I'm sorry....I was tied up with family issues... so I arrived late....to the orientation today...I am sorry...," his sentence was cut in between. It sounded so vulnerable and instinctly, he wrapped his arms around himself. It was only a glance but I thought I saw dark spots around his neck area. He adjusted his clothing to cover them instantly.

I didn't have to ask. Or perhaps, I don't want to ask. At least, not for now. Whatever he was facing, I want to let him know, he wasn't alone. Not anymore.

"Did Bas made you do anything before signing the booklet for you?" I asked. He nodded hesitantly. "P'Bas...had me run 5 laps around the field...for being late....and as exchange for the signature," he still didn't want to have eye contact with me.

"But you do understand, those who got the least signature will have to face punishment right?" his eyes darted back up. I think the keyword that got his attention was 'punishment'. He shook his head and bit his lip.

"But now that I know you have family issues and that was your reason you came late and probably didn't have time to get more signatures, you know what? I will help you pass this activity, okay?" I said as I signed my name and handed him the booklet.

He edged a little nearer and his skinny bony hands reach out to take back his booklet but I gripped on. He looked confused when I didn't let him have the booklet immediately.

"In exchange, can I have your number?" his tiny lips parted even wider in shock and his eyes grew larger too. This boy is indeed so cute looking and the desire to make him mine grew folds. It's weird. I never felt for anyone like that before. Sure, girls a plenty and occasional boys too but none of them made me felt like he did.

"My...number...khrub?" He asked as if he didn't hear me right and needed a confirmation. With my other free hand, I patted him gently on the head.

"Yes. Your number. So...if you have any family issues in the future and couldn't make it to college activities, you can let me know directly and you wouldn't be penalize okay?" I explained. Cliche and cheesy as heck but I am the college president and if you have to put it that way, the most powerful student in the damn school. Can anyone say no to me?

He nodded hesistantly before taking his phone out of his pocket. His hands were still shaking. I saw it as I eagerly retrieved my own phone to scan the QR code to his LINE account.

I let him have the booklet and watched as he gripped it tightly. Nervous little kitty. I like him like that.

"Go back home safe okay?" I patted him on the head again, smiled and turned to pretend to ignore him. That was my seduction technique. When baiting the one you want, ignore them. Then they will come.

I didn't bother to look up until he has left the office as I slumped back down my chair.

Little did I know, Tonkla would be the soulmate that I was searching for.

The soulmate who would find and mend my soul as I mended his.
