Y/N - alright!
I lifted some boxes inside, wiping my sweat off my forehead, letting it lay beside the oven
Today was just like any other day. Taking care of a cafe that I just opened up recently, preparing for the morning shift.
Well technically, that's going to be today.
After lifting some of the boxes inside from my supplier, I opened them up as I organised them into wherever they belonged.
This cafe meant the world to me, it was small for sure, but hell. I'm proud of myself for being able to open it in the first place. I had no employees yet but I was adamant and confident that I could run it for a while by myself.
I smiled putting my hands on my hip as I looked at everything as I went outside of my cafe, and looked at the sign that happily laid above the door
Y/N - C/N (cafe name) is now open for good.
sighing some relief heading back inside where I looked at the interior.
Shit man, it feels cosy, alongside the fact that with some chill music that I had produced myself. I hope it's enough.
I flipped the open/closed sign to open as I headed behind the counter and grabbed my apron.
Whereupon looking at the door, graciously smiling and somewhat excited.
I took one last check of everything in the kitchen and equipment as I went over to the fridge, forgetting to slice the cheesecake I had in the fridge to put in the glass display in front.
I grabbed it and put it on the counter as I began to cut it in slices. I quickly did it swiftly as I managed to put some on a plate and I had put it in the glass display in front of the counter as I smiled to myself once again before putting back the rest of the cheesecake in the fridge alongside the other sweet assortment of desserts.
I went back to the counter and waited.
Eventually, a few customers came along. I happily made them their drinks or whatever they ordered. It was my calling really, I had also dreamed of opening up a cafe and just doing what made me happy.
Seeing people's faces smile or eyes light up after getting a sip of coffee after a slow morning or a hard day made me smile, or when kids get rewarded by their parents with some treats for some good work. Honestly, I felt like becoming the person to see the positive consequences of giving the reward to them.
After a long day of a successful first opening. I had sat upstairs in my apartment which the cafe had laid down below. Thankfully, the realtor who sold me this building is a nice girl. I gotta thank her when I see her again.
My leg shakes as I stressfully looked through some papers of just important documents that I was too bored to even read through.
I sighed, tilting my head towards the ceiling. Putting my arms behind my head.
Y/N - what should I do?
But then all of a sudden. My cafe doorbell rings
Y/N - huh?
I put on a jacket since I didn't put on the heating down in the cafe since I wasn't well. Rich enough to pay for much.
I headed downstairs as all I could see was a faint silhouette of someone waiting outside the glass door of the cafe as I waved, opening the door.
Y/N - hey, good evening
I was looking down at their shoes at first but then as I looked up. We held eye contact.
