Time dive

Chapter 1

"Pray you you'll be born with a quirk in your next life, and take a swan dive off the roof of the building"

The words echoed in Izuku's head. It had been three days since he heard those words, since All might saved him, and since Izuku fucked up so bad that he released the villian that attacked Bakugo.

Three days since my actions nearly killed Kacc- no– Katsuki, I don't deserve to call him that dumb nickname, Izuku thought, tears threatening to fall from his eyes. He climbed up the last set of stairs, finally making it to the roof.

"It's not bad to have a dream young man. Just, make sure those dreams are attainable. Realistic."

The words rang loud in his head, making him only feel worse, making him feel useless.

Why did All might even offer his quirk to me? I'm just a quirkless nobody who happened to be dumb enough to run into a villian attack to help Katsuki.

Izuku had made sure to clear out his backpack, leaving letters to three people inside– one for Mitsuki, one for Katsuki, and one for his mother. Carefully, he set down his backpack so I would lean on the fence blocking people from accidentally falling off the roof.

Taking off his shoes, Izuku set down a spider lily that he had found on his desk today, decorating the area around his bag and shoes.

Izuku felt tears fall from his eyes once again as he climbed over the safety fence.

"Thank you for everything, Mom."

Then he jumped.

The sound of screaming filled the streets, someone had called the police, and the sounds of an ambulance were the last things he could hear.

...

What..?

"Did I just see the future?"

A panic spread through his body, did I just get my quirk? Somehow while he was panicking, Izuku lost his grip on the rail and started falling. The same thing he had just seen was happening. The screams, the call, the sirens, then he passed out from the pain and blood loss.

The last thing Izuku remembered was Kacchan's dead body. Lifeless and unmoving. His heart being fixed by edgeshot and the bloody face. The lifeless and bloodied face. The limited edition all might card from all those years ago. The indescribable rage and anger that ran through his entire body. The need for tears that wouldn't come out. His quirks being used out of the bubbling rage he couldn't stop.

Izuku slowly opened his eyes, adjusting to the brightness of the room. He immediately sat up, panic swelled through his system. He felt the trail of tears on his cheeks, and a cry tore from his throat.

Where am I?! I need to get back to the coffin. I need to help them.

I- i can't afford to leave them.

The tears fell quicker and the panic became more intense. He was hyperventilating at this point.

After calming down, Izuku noticed two things immediately. One was that he's in a hospital, the other was that he felt and appeared younger.

Too young, I look like how I did in middle school.

A doctor stepped into the room, and immediately ran to his side to calm him down.

"Hey, are you okay?'  the doctor asked, trying to ground him.

"Where am i?" The panic had calmed down somewhat, but he still didn't know where he was. He didn't know which hospital or even which town he was in. if he was right, he was still documented as quirkless. I'm surprised they even took care of me. A lot of hospitals refuse to treat quirkless people.

The doctor began explaining that he was in a 5-month-long coma, and that he would need to be put into rehabilitation to relearn how to function, and that it would take a few months.

The next couple of hours flew by, and Izuku wasn't there mentally. He was still so, so confused. He was a hero, essentially a soldier, how was he back here?!

After the doctor left to call his mom and Kacchan, who had apparently been visiting him,he had pieced together three things. One, he didn't have afo, but had some type of quirk. Two, the coma wasn't necessarily a dream, but a possible future seen by his quirk. And three, since he has to regain strength and train to get any muscle, his best alternative for heroics class would be to become a vigilante.

The problem there is that he doesn't know how he could accomplish this.
