If ever a time comes, when time steals me away Earlier than you thought, and night turns to day, Remember I did my best, my utmost to stay Longer than expected, more than I thought I could lay.You are among the reasons I lingered a while, You brought joy to my life, made me smile, Gave it new meaning, turned sorrow to grace, Thanks to your love, I found a warm place.I lived a bit longer, in happiness wrapped tight, Surrounded by love, from dawn until night. I never knew I was meant to be held, But you made me feel cherished, where hope swelled.Don't blame yourself if time should take me away, You bought me time, made each extra day Worthy of living, filled with light and delight. This letter is one I wish never had to be writ.
To my friends and family, this truth I unfold,With a heart full of gratitude, more precious than gold.
