Chapter 14: Thunderclap And Flash

Successfully managing to move them out of the way thanks to the help of Uraraka and her quirk as well as his cluster, it managed to get him to tanjiro on time but wasn't prepared for the same tree the demon still held in his hands to swing once more. With immense speed they were in, it threw them up and past the trees.

"Shit!"

"Kentaro! Makugo!" Inosuke shouted, watching helplessly as both boys were moving further and further away.

"You have to hold on until we can get back!" Tanjiro shouted back. "That's one of the Twelve Kizuki! So you can't die here! You hear me! Whatever you do, don't die!"

"Well, that's comforting." Mina gasped as she continued to uncontrollably shake.

Inosuke stood frozen, scared and worried. Never in his life had he ever remembered feeling this helpless and the feeling only grew worse when a shadow suddenly loomed over him as it roared.

"Oh crap!"

"Inosuke!"

"This isn't good!" Tanjiro prepared to try and somehow ease their landing, but Bakugo quickly took the initiative when he found Urarakas quirk wearing off to grab him and use his own quirk to soften their landing.

After skidding past a few trees, they finally came to a halt before they got back up on shaky legs.

Spitting out a few leaves in the process, Bakugo tried to figure out which way they had to go since Inosuke, Mina and Uraraka were still fighting that thing.

"Thanks." Tanjiro groaned as he grabbed his head. "That power of yours sure comes in handy."

"Doesn't matter. Without knowing where the hell we are, it could take us a while to get back." He said as he continued to glare up at the trees. "I could carry you and we can try and blast our way back, but it'll be easier without that damn box."

"No way, wherever I go this is going too." Tanjiro protectively grabbed the wooden box when he saw Bakugo raise his hands to help remove it from him.

"Why? Just leave it."

"No."

"What are you-"

"Hang on!" Just then they heard an agonizing cry nearby.

"I beg of you! Please stop!"

Exchanging worried looks they both quickly ran over to where the sobbing continued. Hiding behind a tree they could see a girl desperately crying while holding her bleeding face. Given the way she was dressed and the pale familiar skin there was no doubt that she was part of this demon family they heard mention. But when she raised her head, they realized it was the same girl from before. The very same that had led the demon father to them.

"This bi-"

"Shh!" Tanjiro quickly covered Bakugos mouth as he tried to listen in. And when he was sure they weren't heard he slowly removed his hand.

"I will kill you." Bakugo mouthed which just made Tanjiro shot him a small smile before frowning at the scene in front of them.

"Please..." the girl continued to cry as she remained kneeling in front of someone they'd seen before.

"What are you looking at? This isn't a play you know."

"Shit." Bakugo hissed when they realized they had been discovered, and what's more was that there stood the same little boy they'd seen right before fighting the other demon slayer corps. Regardless of the fact that he was only a small boy, his presence was unnerving and screamed obedience.
