Chapter 1: Goodbye Bergen, Hello Vesterøy

It all happened so fast for Erik. One moment he was walking in the field, the next he was getting kicked down by so many other players. He fights back but as if on cue the police roll in. Running as fast as his legs could take him, Erik tried to escape but it was no use when another cop car blocked his path. Putting his hands up in defeat, as blood trickled down his nose.

"Erik? Are you even listening?" A voice echoed.

Erik shakes his head and was back in his mother's car. His nose adorned with a bandage and his fists decorated with more bandages.

"I was talking to you.." his mother says softly.

"S..sorry mom.." Erik replied rubbing his head.

"It's alright, I know a-lot is on your mind but I promise you'll like it here.." she said rubbing his arm.

"Where even are we again..." Erik sighs looking around at the road and town coming up ahead.

"Vesterøy" his mother replies, "I grew up here" she says proudly looking around at the town.

Erik looks around and takes in his new surroundings he sighs again as his mother pulls up to his new school.

"Good luck Erik, I promise everything will be ok..." his mom says.

Erik smiles to his mom but as she drove away his smile faded away as he saw the new school. He pulls his hood on and walks in.

**At the front of the School**

3 students were sitting at a table and talking.

"Thea can we go in now? The classes will start soon!" A brown haired girl groaned.

"No! I wanna see this new kid and be the first to see him ok Sara?" Thea replies.

"Whats so special about him anyway?" A brown haired boy asked.

"We barely get any new kids Mathias.." Thea eyerolls . "Hes from Bergen too and I heard boys from there are tough looking guys" she swoons.

"Is that him?" Sara said pointing at a blonde haired guy with a grey hoodie on walking towards the door.

They all examined him closely from a distance.

"I don't recognize him so it must be him!" Thea exclaimed.

"So much for being tough, he looks like a lost puppy" Mathias commented.

"Hey! Blondie!" Thea called out.

Erik stops in his tracks and turns to the voice. Why did he just respond to blondie? He looks around and points at himself. Thea nods and motions him over to her.

Erik hesitated as he starts walking over.

"Hey. My name is Thea, this is Sara and Mathias and welcome to our high school!" She says shaking hands. Sara and Mathias wave as Erik waved back awkwardly.

"Whats your name new kid?" She asked.

"Erik.." he says quietly. "How did you know I was coming?" He asked.

"Thea knows everything trust me" Sara joked.

"Yea! Word travels fast here and I am basically a celebrity here, whats your Instagram? Lets follow each other and start a group chat!" She says pulling out her phone.

"I..I don't have Instagram" Erik chuckles softly.

Thea gives him a look. "What are you? A caveman? Everyone has one! I will fix that soon! But first lets get to class!" Thea says pulling Erik inside. He quietly winces as she held his bandaged hand. Sara and Mathias gather their things as Mathias makes eye contact with him.

"Mathias? Whats wrong?" Sara asked tugging on his shirt.

Mathias shakes his head. "Nothing Sara..its just something seems..off with Erik no?" He said as Sara took another look. Making eye contact with him also.

"He looks tired" she commented. "And those bandages too" she says sadly. "I wonder what happened..."

Mathias nods in agreement. "Maybe well learn more once we get to know him" he shrugged.

Sara agreed as they walked inside holding hands.  in agreement.
