Kuro's POV

"That was a long mission," I sighed. The target was easy to catch but hard to eliminate. While searching for my keys in my bag, I noticed that the rose pot my CEO gave me was missing, and that could seriously upset him. I looked around to see if it was nearby but started to panic, knowing he could retaliate by cutting off my internet or Interflix connection. I composed myself and knocked on my neighbor's door. They seemed new; many people move in and out of this apartment since it's on the top floor and each floor only has two apartments.

A girl with long, wavy blond hair and fair skin opened the door. Her slanted black eyes—one black and the other blue—sparkled with innocence, but my dark heart was skeptical. She wore a deep pink skirt and a white cold-shoulder shirt. Tilting her head, she asked, "Excuse me, do you need anything?" I replied, "Uh... I live next door; my name is Perce Parker. Sorry to interrupt, but have you seen a rose pot by my door? I think someone took it." "Oh, so it was yours," she said. "I found it in poor condition, so I brought it in to care for it. Please come in; I'll get it for you."

She led me to her couch and went to fetch the flower pot. Her apartment was bright and filled with plants, much like mine. When she returned, the rose looked ready to bloom. "Here," she said, "thanks, but can you keep it? I'm a detective and often out of town." I thought to myself that revealing I was one of the most dangerous assassins in the country was not an option. "Okay, I can keep it, Mr. Parker," she continued. "Thanks again. What's your name, miss?" "Bella Camella, but please call me Bell," she replied. "Well then, Bella, I should be going. Please call me Pierce," I said as I headed for the door. "Wait," Bella called out, blushing as I turned to look at her. "I need to tell you something," she added. "I like you. Would you go out with me on a date?" she asked, her cheeks turning red. I chuckled and said, "Okay, then give me your number." "Sure, it's 143..."
