Start from the beginning

She sits down and he follows her soon.

They start eating and drinking.

After three bottles, she speaks.

"Well, seems like my father's dating someone."

He looks at her and gives her a sarcastic smile.

"My mother." He says while taking a rice cake and plopping it into his mouth.

"Mwo?" She shouts and looks at him incredulously.

"You didn't know?" He looks at her eyes-wide while she takes the single chopstick from him and makes a skewer of tteokbokki.

She shakes her head and grumbles, and he nods in understanding.

What he knows about her relationship with her father is that it's a very chaotic one.

They love each other but they're acts of affection are quite...haywire.

"Eomma is inviting you guys over for dinner this Friday." He looks at her.

She's busy chewing, making skewers with the other chopstick and then passes it to him.

He grimaces at how she uses the chopsticks, and she moves it all along his face playfully until he takes it from her hand.

She seems calm about the whole deal.

"Well, let's meet this Friday." She smiles at him playfully.

They go on about their day and then meet on Friday, looking awkwardly at each other.

But they do enjoy each other's parents' company.

Cha Young seems very fond of his mother and that goes the other way too.

They seem to go with the flow until one day, he arrives to the apartment first, waiting for her, a similar day when they haven't contacted each other the whole day, when she bursts in throwing her shoes and wearing the bunny flip flops, she keeps next to his plain ones.

"They're thinking about marriage!" She shouts.

He looks back at her, still stirring the ramen in the pot on the stove.

"I bought chianti, today." He says, instead.

"Yah!" She moves to him, his back facing her, he's wearing his blue luxurious pajamas with the robe which she sometimes steals.

She presses herself at him and watches as he silently stirs the ramen, her chin resting on his shoulder.

"I can't eat ramen when I am in stress, I get a puffy face."

He scoffs and she slaps his shoulder.

They seem to settle in silence while the ramen cooks, her still pressed against him.

Once they've settled and Cha Young had eaten the whole pot of ramen herself, she groans and looks at him.

He sips on the chianti and looks at her resignedly.

She shoots him a smile and he looks away, scoffing.

"I know you'll help me exercise." She says.

Exercise, they did.

Post-exercise situation is them recovering their breaths.

And Cha Young rolling back and forth, crushing his arm every now and then.

"Think Joo Hyeong-ah, think!" She shrieks at him, still rolling and then finally rolls back into his arms.

He just fully covers their bodies with the duvet, Cha Young had rumpled while being a roly-poly toy and sighs closing his eyes.

"Out of all the people why did our parents had to meet and decide to date and then think about marrying!" She laughs mockingly right beside him.

Her rants go on and he lays there half-listening and half lost in his own musings until he goes completely silent and is thinking of a solution his very rational brain thinks is the only way while his heart sinks thinking about.

Cha Young stops rambling and looks up at him before placing her hand on his chest.

"What are you thinking?" That breaks his bubble and he looks at her with a heavy gaze and gulps.

"Maybe we-" He starts, his voice raw from being silent for a long time.

"Yah!" She screams and he winces.

"How dare you?!" She looks at him with her arms supporting her, one still on his chest.

"Cha Young-ah-" he starts but is cut off when she climbs on top of him, her hair falling on his eyes and he uses his hand to move them away and now her long hair act as a curtain all around his head, their faces inches away.

Her gaze pierces through his eyes and she squeezes his shoulders.

"Let me make one thing clear, Park Joo Hyeong, it is very hard to find a man who buys your coffee and carries your bags here and there and can deal with me and myself, alone and if you think you're getting away with this situation by thinking of anything extremely stupid, tell your brain to shut up."

His mouth is pressed tight and she moves her face close infinitesimally closer to him.

"Araesso?"

He hums but she wants a verbal approval and she squeezes his shoulders.

"Ye."

"Good." She tweets and places a chaste kiss on his lips before settling herself back on his chest.

"Let's just tell them. There's no other way of getting away with this."

He hums his approval and she burrows her face into his chest before sleep envelops both of them.

On the next weekend, when all of them gather again, they break the news to their parents.

Turns out, they got robbed by their own parents.

And all the wedding preparations were actually being done for them.

They both look dumbfounded but Cha Young soon recovers and there's a huge match between the father and daughter duo.

"So, all this time, we had been worrying about nothing." Cha Young says as she moves her hand around for the ring on her finger to catch the moon light.

"You haven't even been worrying. I was the one taking the stress." He says while enveloping her in his arms, head resting atop her chin and closing his eyes.

"You were just thinking of the impossible, in the name of stress." She counters back.

"You didn't want to lose a man who apparently does what?" He makes a show of humming while thinking and she knows he's smiling and says "ahh yes, a man who carries your bags and buys you coffee and can deal with you and your antics."

She just tsks and smiles while playing with the ring on his hand "Snobby bastard." She murmurs while closing her eyes as well.

"Yes, the only snobby bastard you'll ever find who can deal with your antics.."

"Yah! I said stop already!"
