He took a breath, "I am tired, but i'm not going to sleep on you."
"Why not? I go to sleep on you all the time." I say turning my phone off and putting it down.
"True, but i'm good. I'll thug it out."
"Why?"
"Can I spend some time with you? We haven't talked in a while."
"I'm starting to think you like me."
"I don't."
"Lie to somebody else. Go lay down, i'll come lay with you, since you want to spend time with me."
He smiled, "Does lay with me consist of cuddling or? I need this elaborated on."
"I think to be on the safe side, no cuddling because I won't lie and say i'm not attracted to you and I can hold my composure because I am and I can't. And we're building a friendship so just to be safe-"
"No cuddling, I got it."
"Okay. I mean if you wanted to cuddle we-
"Nope, i'm good. You better not touch me once."
"Damn you didn't have to say it all fast like that. Tell me how you really feel."
"My bad, i'll be in my room"
I nod and he gets up, going to his room. I finished eating, threw away my trash, and went into Zac's room. He was in the bathroom so I just laid in his bed. He opened the bathroom door and stared at me.
"What?" I ask. "Why you on my side of the bed?" He asked me.
"Because I like this side."
"Fat- you- okay," He threw his hands up and went to the other side getting in.
"I never thanked you, for what you did at the game."
"It's no problem, i'd do it for anybody."
I squinted at him, "Right."
"If I fall asleep on you, don't take it to the heart. I'm tired."
"You literally just- Okay Zachary."
"Talk to me, tell me what's on your mind." He closed his eyes. H only tells me this because he wants me to talk him to sleep. I stay quiet and touch his arm, tracing his tattoo. "I thought I told you not to touch me. And i need you to talk to me." He says.
"I don't care about what you said, what do you want me to talk about?"
"Anything, you always have something to talk about."
"I've been thinking about my dad a lot lately."
He opened his eyes and looked over at me, "Really? You've only mentioned him once to me."
"Because I never knew him. I don't want to make it sound like i'm a stereotype but I can't help but feel that way."
"What do you mean by that?"
"Like because I didn't have a father around, I look for a man to fill that void. The only person that was remotely close to a father figure is Maj..I've been thinking about asking auntie about him but I don't know how to go about it."
"I understand why you feel that way, and you should ask auntie. Maybe she knows something."
"Do you ever think about your parents?"
"My mom, yea. I wonder if she ever got better, or if she let the drugs win. But I never took the initiative to look for her. My father, I don't even know his name, only his last name of course. I never thought about looking for him because I wouldn't know where to start and I know my moms probably didn't even know him."
