I opened the door seeing auntie and Fatima, "I told you not to come." I say to Fatima. The girl is hard headed.

They walk in, "Damn, i'm happy to see you too." She says. "My bad." I say closing the door.

"Go sit on the couch, while I get everything. And take off that damn hoodie." Auntie tells me and I comply. Fatima was right on my tail as I sat down. I slowly took off my hoodie. I could feel Fatima staring at me which is why I didn't want her to come.

"Why didn't you want to go to the doctor, that's dumb." Auntie said.

"Because it isn't bad, and I hate hospitals" I tell her.

She glares at me, "Lupus is serious period. I understand that it's mild but still." She comes over checking my pulse and blood pressure.

After checking me out and giving me my medicine she damn near cussed me out and told me to call my doctor next time.

"Fatima let's go," Auntie said packing her bag up. "I'm staying. Why you think I had a backpack?" Fatima told her.

I look at auntie who rolled her eyes, "You want her to stay?" She asked me and I nod. "He didn't have a choice." Fatima said.

"I oughta drag you out myself, you lucky he said yes."

"Love you too auntie."

"Whatever, i'll call to check on you later and in the morning. If anything happens, call me. Love you both."

"Love you auntie, thanks." I say.

"You're welcome. Marie, do not hover over him, give the boy some space."

"I don't even like him like that." Fatima capped out her ass.

Auntie and I both shot her a look, "And my name is Nia Long, fool somebody else. If she gets too much, call me and i'll come get her."

"I'm not a child golly."

"She'll be good, i promise."

"Alright, i'll see yall later." She gathered her bag and went out the door. Fatima went to lock it and came back to the couch.

"You hungry?" Fatima asked me.

"A lil bit."

"You have groceries? I can make you something."

"You don't have to make anything. I have some leftover shrimp and rice in there."

"Okay good."

"Can you make a small bowl, i can't eat too much or I'll throw up."

"I got you." She got up to get the food while I turned the TV on to watch something. I put boondocks on, i wouldn't say i'm an adult animation fan but boondocks is a classic.

After warming my food up, babygirl gave me the bowl and a water. "Thank you."

"You're welcome," She walked away and to her room and came out with her blanket wrapped around her. "You missed your blanket?" I ask.

"You know it."

"Well your room is still here for you whenever you want to come over."

I finished eating and while Fatima washed my dishes, I texted Maj and told him i'd be out of the game for a few days and told him to look out for my boy.

I stood up, feeling a little pain. Before I could take a step, Fatima stopped me, "Sit down, what do you need? I'll get it for you."

"My blanket and my rubix cube."

"I'll get them, sit down."

I sat down and she went to my room and got my things. She turned off all of the lights and gave me my blanket and rubix cube, sitting next to me.

I kicked my feet up on a little foot rest I got, put the blanket over my legs, and played with my rubix cube.

Fatima and I sat in silence while she was on and off her phone. I finished my rubix cube and handed it to her, "Can you mix it for me please?" I ask her. She grabbed it from me and began mixing it.

"When did you start doing this?" She asked me.

"I always have as a kid, I just recently picked it back up."

"Oh okay." She handed it back to me. I could feel her staring at me so I took a deep breath starting to work on the cube.

"I found out I had Lupus last year and I haven't really accepted it. It isn't bad, it's mild, but it's still painful and dreading. I'm lowkey embarrassed about it that's why I didn't want you to come over here and I didn't mean to come across rude." I told her.

"Why are you embarrassed? That's nothing to be embarrassed about."

"I don't know, nobody knew about it but me and my doctor before today."

"I hope you know i'm here for you and you can trust me."

"I know that." I say finally looking at her.

"Can I touch you?"

"Always."

She wrapped her left arm around my right and laid her head on my shoulder. "I'm trying not to rub on you, I know your skin is irritated."

"Rub on my legs, they aren't as irritated, just don't rub too high." I laugh a little.

"Nasty, I don't want to touch your thing."

"Okay Fatima."

"How long can I stay?"

"You don't have to ask, you can stay as long as you want."

"I'm just asking, this is your space."

"It's yours too, you have a whole room here. You're welcome anytime."

"Good."
