"Alright Izuku, do you have everything you need?" Mom asked as I shut the trunk of my car.
"Yeah, mom. I got everything," I replied. She wiped a tear from her eye. "Hey..."
"I'm sorry. I'm just sad that you're all grown up," she sniffed. I pulled her into a hug.
"I know, mom. I'll come back to visit when I can. I promise," I answered. After a very long goodbye, I got in my car and began making my way to the airport.
When I arrived at the airport, I met up with Kacchan. He was waiting in the airport terminal close to where our gate was located. I sat down in the seat next to him. He was reading a book.
"Hey Kacchan," I said. He grunted in response. I sat in awkward silence for a moment. My phone buzzed and I looked at it. Uraraka was calling me. I answered it. "Hello?"
"Hey, Deku! Are you at the airport yet?" she asked. She sounded like she was in a hurry.
"Yeah, I am. Are you running?" I questioned.
"No! I'm just walking kinda fast! Tsu and I just got here so we're making our way towards you guys."
"Okay, awesome! You know where to find the meeting spot?"
"Yeah! We're almost there so we will see you in a minute!"
"Okay! Bye!"
"Bye!"
I hung up the phone. Kacchan was staring at me with a look of disgust almost.
"What?" I asked him.
"Just ask her out already," he sighed, turning back to his book. "I'm tired of you two beating around the bush. It's annoying. It's obvious you both like each other so just date."
"W-well it's not that simple."
"Yeah, yeah, that's what you say every time," he muttered.
"W-"
"Hey guys!" came Uraraka's voice from beside us. She and Tsu appeared in front of us. "We made it!"
They sat down next to me.
"Are you excited to go to the U.S. Midoriya?" Tsu asked me.
"Yeah, I am actually. What about you?"
"I'm a little nervous. I'm not sure what it'll be like," she replied.
"Me either."
We waited a little longer until everyone finally met up with us. The only people from our high school class who didn't decide to go to the U.S. were Shouji, Kouda, Tokoyami, Ojiro, Hakagure, Satou, Aoyama, Yaoyorozu, and Mineta.
We boarded the plane and it took off. The flight was almost 13 hours long, but we passed the time by playing games and talking about our studies overseas. We landed in New York City and got a train to a city named Holford, where we would be attending United Hero Academy. It was a private college that gave scholarships and support to young heroes who wanted a higher education. They had general degrees but also recently incorporated new hero degrees into their curriculum. It was well-known for hosting a lot of international students, hence the 'united' in the name.
It took a little more than a day to get to Holford and when we arrived, we made our way to the campus. All of us boys had been able to be in the same dorm and even room next to each other. I was rooming with Kacchan. Kirishima and Kaminari were our suitemates and Todoroki and Sero were beside our room. Their suitemates were Iida and his American roommate, Theo. We said goodbye to the girls and checked into our dorm. We got our keys and went to the third floor where our rooms were. I unlocked our door and opened it. The two wooden beds were in each corner of the room and two desks were by each other in the center. Two bare shelves were on the wall above the desks.
"This is cozy," I said as we dragged our bags into the room.
"Yeah. A little close for comfort though," Kacchan muttered.
"What side do you want?" I asked. He walked over and threw his bag onto the bed by the bathroom door in the far corner of the room. "Alright, then I guess this is my side."
Kaminari burst into the room through the bathroom.
"Isn't this awesome! We're gonna be living together again!" he exclaimed.
"Go unpack your crap and leave us alone!" Kacchan snapped.
"Fine! But I'll be back when I'm done!"
"Please don't."
Kacchan and I unpacked our stuff in silence. We'd been through a lot in the past few years, but we'd slowly gotten closer. Still...there were times when things were a little awkward. He was a lot more calm and gentle (in his own special way). He rarely cussed or yelled loudly, which was unnerving at first.
"I can't wait for classes to start," I sighed as I started making my bed.
"Figures," Kacchan mumbled.
"We'll get to meet lots of new people and do hero training outside of Japan. I wonder if it'll be much different."
"Beats me."
We finished unpacking in silence. When we were done, we went to check on everyone else. Kaminari and Kirishima were all set up and so were Todoroki and Sero. We checked on Iida last. His roommate was there when we opened the door. He was watching as Iida straightened the books on his side of the shelf. He smiled at us when we entered. He was a tall, tan guy with brown curly hair. He had dark, hazel eyes.
"Hey guys! My name is Theo Barrera!" he beamed. Kacchan looked him over dauntingly.
"Nice to meet you! I'm Izuku Midoriya," I replied, shaking his hand. He looked at Bakugo.
"Katsuki Bakugo," he answered shortly. "Call me Bakugo."
"And you can call me Midoriya or Deku. Whichever you prefer."
"So you guys are friends of Iida?"
"Yeah. We went to high school with him back in Japan. So did the others living in these next two rooms. We all came in a big group," I explained.
"That's pretty cool! I can't wait to meet everyone else."
"There," Iida sighed, taking a step back and admiring his work. He looked at us. "All done. Are you two settled?"
I nodded. Kaminari and Kirishima appeared in the doorway behind us.
"You guys know how far the nearest store is?" Kaminari questioned. He noticed Theo and grinned. "Heya! Name's Denki Kaminari."
"Eijiro Kirishima," Kirishima added, stepping in to shake Theo's hand.
"Nice to meet you two. You need a ride to the store?" Theo answered. "I've got my car here so I can take you."
"Really?! You're awesome man!" Kaminari exclaimed.
"Come on. Anyone else wanna come?"
"We're good for now, but we may ask later if that's okay," I replied.
"Sure. Anytime you need a ride I'll be happy to give you one."

Author's Note:
Hi guys! This is the first little chapter/one-shot I wrote for this fanfiction. I had the idea to write this because I started college last year and have had lots of fun. I also like to write and imagine what the MHA characters would be like after undergoing more character growth and becoming older. I hope you all enjoy it!
