I wishhhh I could've seen more interactions between Da-hae and I-na throughout the show, so this is kind of my attempt at seeing the two of them have a mother/daughter relationship. Also, how did they not hug once in the whole drama like whaaattt?! 😭

Summary: After learning a terrifying truth, Da-hae is determined to detach herself completely from the Bok family, resulting in her alleged disappearance. But her getaway is cut short when a single-minded I-na comes looking for her, desperately needing her to stay.

I re-wrote the final scene of episode 10 in the series. Instead of Gwi-ju, I-na is the one searching for Da-hae at the beach.

"아가씨! " I-na called out. She adjusted her glasses, trying to distinguish the woman who stood a couple feet away. There she was, alive and well. She wore a long, white cardigan and a skirt that draped until her ankles. Her footwear was simple, the converse shoes she'd always adore. It was Da-hae without a doubt.
The young woman turned her head at the mention of her honorific, a confused expression displayed on her face, her eyes squinting trying to make out the person that called from afar.
I-na caught herself smiling for a split second. The woman and her stood still, silently observing each other despite the distance. Da-hae's blood turned cold and suddenly she was running away from the girl.
"아가씨!" I-na shouted again before running at full speed, determined to catch up to the woman who fled. She slipped and her body fell to the water, but she quickly got up. Her shoes, now covered in sand, made her chase arduous, but she wouldn't give up. She couldn't. She couldn't let go of the one person who sincerely cared for her, the only one she could look in the eyes without feeling a sense of dread come over her.
Da-hae whipped her head around at the commotion of splashing water. Her escape abruptly stopped. She took a few steps closer to the girl, concerned over her well-being after the harsh fall she had taken. The woman fought every urge to run towards her and wrap her arms around the child, to make sure she was okay. But she knew doing so would only make matters worse.
Despite the unpleasant fall, the girl reached for her glasses and got up. Her tedious sprint towards the young woman started again.
It took Da-hae a second to realize that I-na was indeed fine. The kid would not stop chasing her until she managed to catch up to her. The woman quickly turned on her heels and sprinted away.
The girl ran and ran until her legs gave away, until the pain was unbearable and too grim to keep leaving unnoticed. She stopped, letting her hands rest on her knees, trying to get her hyperventilating breathing to regulate.
Just when she thought she had lost Da-hae completely, the woman appeared to have also stopped running. I-na quickly picked up her pace, thinking that if she didn't she'd never see the woman again.
When she finally caught up to her, she saw why the adult stopped. A tremendous rock prevented her from continuing forward. Either way, I-na would've inevitably reached her.
"아가씨" I-na sighed with relief. Da-hae turned around defeated. The girl tried taking a step toward her, but the woman immediately backed away.
"Don't come near me." She warned. I-na's smile dropped when she heard the tone of voice the woman spoke to her with.
"But-"
"Why are you here? What the hell are you doing here?!" She interrupted the girl. She seemed mad, but she had no reason to be.
