one

everyone says their first kiss is euphoric, that you can never beat your first time, and that's true at least for me. I can remember every detail leading up to my first kiss and every detail after. I can remember her whispers and giggles that made me smile ear to ear. I can remember the softness and sweetness of her lips.  I remember her starting everything, even though she'll never admit that.

"have you ever kissed a girl?" Liz asked as she stairs at the ceiling. I swallowed hard suddenly feeling nervous around her. Why was I nervous? she's literally my best friend, she knows me in and out.
"no" I answer looking over but her gaze hasn't left the ceiling.
"have you kissed anyone El?" she finally looks over at me, her sharp blue eyes pierced through me.
"no" I answer quietly and study her face. Her eyes were busy, lost in thought. Her hair still messy from partying earlier that night, but she looked as beautiful as when the night started.
"why not?" her voice was velvety tonight, making my spine tingle.
"I guess I haven't had the opportunity" I mumble and look away. Why am I embarrassed? I could feel my cheeks grow hot. Soft fingers ran up my cheek, pulling my head to the side to make eye contact. I gulped at her soft touch. Her hand rested on my face,
"I want you to have a good first kiss El, you deserve a good first kiss" she bit her lip softly to contain her smile. I gulped and laid my hand on hers.
"Okay" was all I was able to say, I wanted this to happen. She turned and laid on the side of her body, facing me.
"don't think Ellie, just let it happen okay?" she whispered to me as she gently sat on my lap. I looked up at the blonde, her eyes were heavy and dark blue tonight making me shiver. She gently tucked hair behind my ear and kissed my neck. I couldn't help but gasp. I could feel her grin against my neck as she circled her tongue against my skin. She moved to the opposite side of my neck and kissed me again, making me moan aloud. She grabbed my hands and put them above my head, softly biting my ear lobe. I closed my eyes. This couldn't be happening. Why was this happening? She started kiss my jaw softly, up to my cheek then repeated on the other side. I was eager to feel her lips against mine but I wouldn't dare stop her. She smiled at me and leaned in slowly, i could feel her warm breath and smell coconut from her chapstick. She gently kissed my lips, softly pushing against mine. I could feel her tongue on my bottom lip so I opened my mouth, instantly her tongue found mine and grazed it. she pulled away smiling, looking down at me. Not wanting this to end I ran my fingers through her hair and pulled her back in. Our tongues battled breathlessly for a few minutes before we broke apart and just stared into each other eyes.
"how was that" she whispered, still sitting on my lap. I couldn't help but grin,
"that was..." I couldn't find a word to describe my emotions. She giggled and laid her body half on mine, burying her head against my neck.
"I love you, Ellie" she barely whispered as I could tell she fell asleep.
My mind was racing, and my heart was beating out of my chest but i couldn't move, i didn't want to wake her. I wish I could stay in this moment forever
