    "Varian, your majesty."
    "Just Y/n, Varian."
    Destined for the background.
    "My father is the same way..."
    "Dads, am I right?"
    Yet determined to change it.
    "I will make you proud dad, whatever it takes."
    "Isn't it obvious? I'm done being in your shadow just because you showed back up!"
    Couldn't be more similar if they tried.
    "You like alchemy too?"
    "My father deemed it "not lady like" and forbade it."
    "Blue is a lovely color."
    Couldn't be more hurt if they tried.
    "I hate her for showing back up, for taking what was always going to be mine."
    "I hate her for not keeping her promise. For putting a kingdom full of people she hardly knows above someone she called a friend."
    Endlessly fighting for each other.
    "I am not betraying the only person that ever cared about me for you!"
    "I'd do whatever it takes to keep her safe."
    But feelings are hard.
    "I like him. I really, really, like him."
    "She'd never like me."
    Especially when there's Royalty involved.
    "But it's forbidden..."
    "But me and Eugene-"
    "Not for you of course, the rules don't apply to the golden child."
    But, maybe they can work past it?
    "No one has to know."
    "Sure I won't go to jail?"
    "You'd go to jail for me anyways, goggles."
    A tale of love,
    "I really want to kiss you right now."
    And of hurt,
    "I won't let him be alone. Never again."
    And most importantly,
    "Patience, you will get what's yours M'lady."
    "Rapunzel will get what's coming to her."
    Of revenge.

    Yo! 
    We're so hyped for this book and it has been super fun so far!
    Me and Rattie have been arguing so much over the dynamic, she's ready to get RIGHT to romance, but since I'm better at friendship dynamics, we're gonna slow it down. 
    This book will take place before episode 1 so we can have a little bit of a friendship/romance between the two before their adventure really starts!
    Big thanks to Rattie for being able to write sappy romance stuff while I write random banter!
    We can't wait to see how this goes considering we have VERY different writing styles, so this should be fun!
