In a quiet town nestled between dense forests and misty hills, seven boys lived together, their bond stronger than anything else. Jungwon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, and Niki were inseparable, always seen together, whether walking through the old streets or vanishing into the woods that surrounded the town.
But they had a secret—one that no one knew.
Centuries ago, they had been turned into vampires after wandering too deep into the forest and entering a cursed, abandoned house. Since then, they lived quietly, keeping their true nature hidden. Though they looked like ordinary teenagers, they were far from it—immortal, eternally young, and burdened by the constant thirst for blood. They only fed on animals, staying far from humans to avoid suspicion.
Everything changed the day they met her—Y/N.
It was a cloudy afternoon when Y/N first encountered the boys. She was new to town, having recently moved there with her family. She loved exploring, and the stories of the old, mysterious forest intrigued her. One day, while wandering near the edge of the woods, she saw them—seven boys, all different, yet strangely magnetic. There was something about the way they moved, as if they weren't just normal teenagers.
She watched from a distance, thinking they hadn't noticed her. But she was wrong.
Jungwon, the quiet leader, was the first to sense her presence. He whispered to the others, and soon all seven pairs of eyes were on her. Not in a threatening way, but with a mixture of curiosity and caution. They had lived among humans for centuries, but Y/N felt different. There was something about her that caught their attention in a way no one else had before.
Instead of retreating, Y/N smiled and walked toward them. "Hey! I haven't seen you around before. Are you all from this town?"
Jake, the most friendly of the group, grinned. "We are, but we like to keep to ourselves. You're new here, right?"
Y/N nodded, looking at each of them, noticing how they all seemed so... perfect. "Yeah, just moved in a few weeks ago. It's a nice place, a bit quiet though. But I like it. I'm Y/N, by the way."
"Nice to meet you, Y/N. I'm Jake, and these are my friends—Jungwon, Heeseung, Jay, Sunghoon, Sunoo, and Niki."
From that moment on, Y/N became part of their group, though she didn't realize just how different they really were. The boys enjoyed spending time with her, appreciating her warmth and humanity, things they hadn't experienced for so long. She brought light into their otherwise dark, lonely existence.
But keeping their secret wasn't easy. They couldn't always be around her during the day, especially when the sun was too strong. Y/N noticed, asking, "Why do you guys always disappear when it's sunny? You're like... allergic to the sun or something?"
Sunghoon chuckled nervously. "Something like that."
It was little things like this that made Y/N suspicious, but she never pushed too hard. She figured everyone had their quirks. Still, she couldn't help but feel that there was something more, something they weren't telling her.
One evening, as they sat around a fire in the woods, Y/N grew bold. "You guys are hiding something, aren't you?" she asked, her tone playful but curious.
The boys froze for a second, exchanging glances. Jay, ever the logical one, spoke first. "What do you mean? Hiding what?"
"I don't know... You all seem so mysterious sometimes. Like you've lived through a hundred lifetimes or something."
Niki laughed, trying to brush it off. "A hundred lifetimes? That's a bit much, don't you think?"
Y/N grinned, shrugging. "Maybe. But you have to admit, you're not like other guys. It's... weird."
There was an awkward silence for a moment before Heeseung finally spoke, his voice calm and measured. "We're not as mysterious as you think, Y/N. But maybe we're just better at hiding things than most people."
She laughed it off, but the conversation stayed with her. Y/N wasn't the kind of person to let things go easily, especially when something felt off.
One night, everything changed. Y/N had been wandering alone in the woods, thinking about her friends and how strange their behavior had been lately. She had no idea she had ventured too close to the house—the same cursed house that had turned the boys into vampires all those years ago.
The boys, always aware of Y/N's whereabouts, sensed something was wrong. They raced through the forest to find her, their heightened senses leading them straight to her. When they arrived, they found her standing at the entrance of the house, looking up at its eerie silhouette.
"This place... it feels strange," Y/N murmured, not noticing them at first.
Jungwon stepped forward, his voice gentle but firm. "You shouldn't be here."
Startled, Y/N turned to face them. "Why? What is this place?"
"It's dangerous," Sunoo added, his usual brightness replaced by an unusual seriousness. "You need to leave."
But it was too late. The house's dark magic stirred, sensing her human presence, and the curse that had once trapped the boys threatened to awaken again. Before Y/N could react, a cold wind whipped through the trees, and the boys knew they had no choice.
To save her, they had to reveal their secret.
In the chaos, Y/N saw it—their eyes glowing in the dark, their fangs slipping out, their inhuman speed as they moved to protect her from the house's malevolent force. She gasped, stumbling back, her mind struggling to comprehend what she was seeing.
"You're... you're vampires?" she whispered, fear creeping into her voice.
Jake, guilt written across his face, nodded. "We didn't want you to find out like this. But yes, we are."
Y/N's heart raced, but as she looked at them—the friends she had come to care about—she realized something. They weren't monsters. They had never hurt her, had never shown any sign of danger. They had been protecting her all along.
Taking a deep breath, she steadied herself. "You should have told me."
Jungwon stepped closer, his expression soft. "We didn't want to scare you. We didn't want to lose you."
Y/N, still shaken but determined, looked at them with a mixture of wonder and sadness. "You won't lose me. But I need time... to understand all of this."
And so, as the night deepened and the cursed house fell silent once more, Y/N realized that the friends she had made were not just ordinary boys—they were vampires. But even with their secret revealed, she knew one thing for sure.
She wasn't afraid.
