Deep in the forest the Appalachian mountains. Known for its rules of full of entities and mythology and far from public view, a thick fog covers the trees and ground.
A kingdom sits in the middle of the mountains. An underground city of the wechuge. A gaurd stands gaurd by the entrance. To a human its a short small cave. But to the wechuge the secret was to move the rock at the very end. Revealing the kingdom inside.
A patrol group and a hunting group leave the kingdom. Ordered by Sunset Blaze the queen that ruled this kingdom.
They go there separate ways the pratol group going north while the hunting group went west.
The hunting group bairly makes a sound as they make there way deeper into the mountains. There hooves compacted the snow under them as they hold there spears and bows.
They watched as a rabbit passed by eating the grass under the snow. And a snow owl swooping down to get a mouse.
One of the wechuge raises there spear. But another grabbed them by the shoulder shaking there head. A simple rabbit wouldn't feed a kingdom. It was nearly a snack if bairly.
As they keep walking they come across a heard of deer here there eyes lock onto the prey and slowly move into a circle to trap them from the deep brush of the mountains.
Then as fast as there hooves can move the quickly take down some of the deer throwing there spears into the hearts of what will be there meal. One of the spears misses and stabbed one of the deer in the leg.
Half of the group picks up the deer while the other half run after the rest of the deer. One of the wechuges a gray and old one walks over to the struggling deer that was hit in the leg. The deer struggling in the snow as it cried out in fear.
He swiftly ended the deer by stomping on the deers head. It was cruel but one of the fastes ways to kill the poor deer. Considering the brain is the last to loose function.
A wechuge then speaks up from behind the older wechuge.
"Jeez Gerald. I knew you should've have come along you're too old to hunt. I wish Sunset had kept you back at home. No offense of course."
The older wechuge let out a stubborn huff as he picked up the deer and threw it against his shoulders like a sack of potatoes.
"You younger boys have no idea what's its like staying inside all day. We might get out for some vitamin D3 but that's only for a few hours a day."
The younger wechuge giggled his tail swaying across the snow. With a smirk he replied with a sassy tone.
"Alright Alright don't come at me man. Im not the one who makes the rules around here"
The older wechuge just sighed and the rest of the group comes back with the rest of the deer. Tied up to be put in the breeding pen so they could have a sorce of more meat.
the younger wechuge then speaks up again.
"Ah look who's back this should be plenty for now. Where just lucky Sunset actually cares for us."
An adult male sighed deeply gently nudging the younger wechuge to get a move on.
"Yes. We are lucky. But if we just stand here this meat will freeze. And these deer will go into shock."
Another wechuge this time an adult female speaks up as the qroup begins to walk back to the kingdom.
"Speaking of shock eveyone still remembers how our old king died? I still can't believe he was a shapeshifter. And we let him right in!"
The adult male speaks up again.
"Shush habil. And yes we all still remember. He was a shapeshifter that was giving information to the government. And he's dead now so we don't have to worry. Sunset Blaze will protect us with everything she has."
The group falls into silence as they continued to walk back to the kingdom it was silent the deer that was still alive silently struggling against the wechuge that carries them.
They get back to the cave the gaurd moving swiftly to the side to let them in and the older wechuge opened the kingdom by moving the boulder the sound of the waterfall hitting there ears. There was a lot of wechuges.
There where old wechuges adults even kids that where running around. There where wechuges making weapons the wechuge in charge of butchering food was maravel. A strong and scared wechuge who was swift at chopping up animals to be cooked.
