Chapter 11: Combustion Man

"That was close." She panted, her eyes scanning down below before she lifted them up to still see a surprised Zuko grabbing onto her waist knowing his life literally depended on it.

"H-how are you doing that?" He stuttered watching her as she giggled.

"That's kind of my power." She sheepishly rubbed the back of her head.

"If you two are fuckin done, how about you focus on this guy?!"

They turned their heads to see Bakugo's piercing glare from the corner of his eye while still aiming his explosions at Combustion man.

"Right." Zuko tried to loosen his grip on her without falling in the process. "Sorry."

Frowning Uraraka could see Bakugo's irritated expression as she maneuvered them back towards the fight and wasn't quite sure why since she managed to rescue Zuko. ""You ready? Let go when I tell you too."

"Ok. Ready when you are." Zuko carefully eyed the few feet they were up.

"Now!" Zuko successfully landed and rolled on the cliff as soon as she released her quirk on him.

"This guy just won't go down!" Kirishima wiped his cheek after Combustion man took a swipe at him with Aang quickly moving him out of the way.

Glancing down at his hand, Kaminari tried to activate his quirk thinking back to what Zuko had told him and was surprised to see his electricity growing. "Ye-eah!" He happily grinned but it was only short lived when he saw the numbers on the bracelet suddenly light up. "Erm...guys?"

"What?!" Bakugo barked back as he fired off another big explosion while trying to keep Combustion mans attention towards them instead of the others down below.

"This thing...." Kaminari gestured towards the bracelet. "It's doing something!"

"What?!" Both Bakugo and Kirishima said in unison, unable to hear him after another explosion from Combustion Man rocked the area and he jumped to land on a ledge closer to the other team.

Combustion man landed while firing a blast at the others while they shielded themselves behind the wall as another blast hits what all remained of the fountain.

Katara runs forward bending the water into a huge wave bringing her arms down while crossing them with a shout as icicles spring forth towards Combustion Man which he just managed to dodge.

"He's going to blast this whole place right off the cliff side!" Toph yells out past the explosions and Katara runs to stand next to her.

She peeks out from behind the wall they were currently hiding in to see another incoming blast.

"I can't step out to waterbend without being blown up and I can't get a good enough angle on him from down here."

"Angle?" Sokka thoughtfully rubbed his chin until an idea popped into his head. Taking out his boomerang he sneaks out trying to predict its trajectory before fondly glancing at it. "Alright buddy, don't fail me now!"

To the surprise of everyone including Sokka himself the boomerang hits the assassin in the forehead where his third eye tattoo is, immediately causing him to hit the ground before he tries to get himself back up.

"Yeah boomerang!" Sokka cheerfully yelled but once he saw Combustion man back on his feet his smile quickly vanished. "Aww boomerang..."

"Over here your giant piece of scrap metal!" Bakugo shouts when he sees him try and gear up for a final shot. Trying to get this guy before he gets the chance to.

Combustion man dizzyingly tried to aim properly but at the sound of Bakugo quickly approaching turned to aim his blast at him instead.

"No!" Uraraka shrieked as she watched in horror as a giant explosion surrounded them resulting in the area he was just standing a second ago being destroyed and Combustion Mans metal arm flying away quickly followed by Bakugo. Without hesitation she lunged herself off the cliff and towards him. 'Come on..." she grits her teeth hoping to get to him in time.
