"I'm fine Mina." She simply said shifting her eyes to Minas worried ones not even convincing herself. But once she saw the pink girl revert her attention back down the hall Uraraka placed her mouth against her knees.
She wasn't sure why she felt so hurt. Their current situation was something she should be focusing on, but regardless her mind continued to drift back to the words Bakugo has said right before they were ambushed.
'Why does that bother me so much? I've known for a while that Bakugo and I had our disagreements more so now than ever. So what made me believe that that things will be different?' Frowning she thought back about how he offered to be best friends, but even those words didn't seem like enough. Didn't she want to be his friend? What more did she want out of it? And why would he even offer that if he didn't think much of her like he said he didn't?
There were so many things and unanswered questions running through her head that she was having problems sorting them all.
"Uraraka are you sure you're alright?" Kaminaris worried voice pulled her out of her thoughts.
"Y-yeah I'm just trying to think of a way out." She forced a small smile.
"Any luck?" Sokka murmured rubbing his head. "Hey guys I think this stuff starting to wear out."
"Thank god." Zuko mumbled.
"Hey...wait where are we?" Sokka quizzically sat up on his elbow and looked around. "No seriously."
"Really?!" Zuko snapped stomping over to the water tribe boy. "You don't remember?!"
"Well for one I don't think that attitudes helping and two..."
"For fucks sake I need to get out of here before I kill one of you!" Bakugo shouted down the hall, angrily kicking and pulling at the bars until he reluctantly leaned back against the wall again. "Damn it!"
He had thought about sitting like the others had done since they've been here for at least a couple of hours from what he could tell, but there was no way he was going to sit down on that dirty ground, besides that would just feel like giving up.
Lightly tapping his head back against the wall, he could hear the others still talking in the other cell with Urarakas distinct voice taking over. Silently staring at the opposite wall, he wondered if she was still mad at him or what she was even thinking.
Was she even mad?
He hadn't heard her say two words to him since his outburst, but could he really blame her. It seemed like since they left UA nothings gone like he thought it would. Secretly hoping that this trip would give him the chance and time he needed to work up the courage to come clean and finally confess to her.
He had been hoping that she would pick up on it during their second year, then again during their third year since he would try and do anything he could to get her attention, and since girls have never been his specialty nor did he want it to be. He could only think of one way to catch her attention at the time. Which was by constantly messing with her and he had thought it was working until this happened.
Now any chance he might possibly have had in the past were suddenly squashed the minute she heard his outburst when he didn't even mean any of that in the first place.
"Sparky anything yet?" he suddenly asked Kaminari.
"No dude, nothing yet." Kaminari frowned down at the black bracelet.
"UGH this is ridiculous! Let us out!" Mina grabbed the bars and shouted down the hall again.
Rubbing his temple Bakugo tried to calmly breath through his nose when he addressed the only red head in the cell. "Kirishima..."
