It happened again. I was so sick of this at this point, I considered throwing my resignation papers on my boss's face, but I didn't, like the coward I am. I decided to divert my mind by going to my favourite café right down the street. Nearly a block away, I receive a phone call, and I groan. It was my boss. Again. I answer with half a heart, and the moment I hear his voice, it makes my blood boil. It was then when I decided for the gazillionth time, that I hated Josh Anderson with all my heart and soul. "Hel-" "What the hell happened to the Johnson's deal?". That, was what I hated the most about him. Whatever happened to a "Hi", "Hello", "How are you?", but no, it wouldn't be the devil incarnate if it weren't him being the most absurd person ever. "I thought we've been over this, Ms. Hong. At Anderson's, one of the world's most renowned law firms, We. don't. lose. clients." I was so close to losing my brain right then and there, but unlike some broody people, I was a calm soul. "I assure you; it is a simple misunderstanding between us and the client, nothing to worry about. Why don't you go relax a bit? Maybe go to a bar and have a drink or two, a restaurant or a date? Ooh! I've the perfect place in mind. There's a bowling alley near our firm, it's really good an-" "Ms. Hong, I have absolutely no interest in what balderdash you're uttering from that mouth of yours. What I truly want, is my client back. I am in absolutely no position to lose neither a client, nor my reputation. So, if you'll excuse me, I've work to do, not some silly little café to go to." "How did you know I was going there?" "It truly must be an art to be so lost. To jog your memory, I think there's something known as a tracker attached to briefcases. Ever heard of it?" "Very funny of you. I never realized a creature like you would be capable of making jokes. Quite a sight, isn't it?" That was all I got to say before he cut the phone, while I was talking. The perfect example of the jerk he is. I entered the café and was welcomed by it's warmth and coziness, the type you would feel at a late autumn evening, eating an apple pie while the stars looked down on you. I ordered my usual for the winters; A classic hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows, along with a pain au chocolat and some dumpling soup to warm my soul a bit, especially after the chill Josh left behind. I don't know what he gets from annoying me, taking the example of him calling me "Ms. Hong" instead of my first name, Luna. I grabbed out my journal and started jotting down about how today was. Journalling was in fact, a habit my therapist told me to develop, which I had to get after working at Anderson's, by the way. My food arrived as soon as I was done journalling. I didn't even realize how hungry I got until after seeing the food on the table. My stomach growled in response to me saying thank you to the waitress, which was quite an awkward scene. I gulped down the food in nearly 5 minutes, and made my way to the bus station. I waited for nearly fifteen minutes when my bus arrived. I quickly hopped on the bus to grab my favourite seat, plugged in my airpods, and listened to "Espresso" by Sabrina Carpenter (mother). I suddenly had a feeling that someone was staring at me. I felt their gaze burning into me. I looked around, but saw nobody. Maybe I was wrong, which, by the way, I never was, but I still played it off. After an excruciating hour, my body finally made it's way to my bed, making that the last thing I remembered.

I hated her. I truly did. She was so lazy, so irresponsible, and so goddamn annoying. I would rather be buried alive than being related to her in any way, god, I don't know how her family tolerates her. She forgets the littlest of things, even after highlighting them a million times. She squints those amber eyes of hers every time anything is more than 5 metres away. She fast-walks, but wouldn't run if you gave her a hundred dollars to, which is purely sickening. And now I've lost a client because of her, not that I cared about them anyways, they hadn't paid since 2 months. I was dying to get rid of them somehow. I rolled up my sleeves and tried to get back to work, but couldn't quite clear my mind of a chestnut brown haired girl with amber eyes whose name began with "L", no matter how hard I tried. I had a routine set for days like these, but the reason of me not being able to concentrate was never her, - until now. I took my coat and went out in the crisp weather. The trees were all dried up, the snow looked ethereal falling down, and the cherry on top was the music being played, namely Taylor Swift. I may seem broody, but I've been a swiftie for nearly 3 years now. A quick jog and I should be good to go. After jogging, I stopped to catch my breath on the footpath opposite to a bus station. I glimpsed a peak of the same brown hair that fogged my brain and caught a hold of myself. She couldn't be here, right? I played it off as a figment of my imagination and took deep breaths. When I finally convinced myself that it wasn't her, the bomb dropped. It was here, right there, on the third last seat of the bus with her airpods in. She looked so caught up in her own world that she didn't care about anything else in that moment. I kept staring at her, unbeknownst that my gaze seemed as of a lover admiring from afar, but that wasn't me. At least not with her, but I couldn't stop staring, and it was maddening. The bus started moving, and so did my legs, as if I were in a trance. I was so captivated by that moment that I-
There it was. The spell breaker. My phone rang, only for me to see that it was the client that I "lost" calling. I hurriedly answered the phone to the voice of a man in his late forties, probably all weak and frail. "Is this Josh Anderson?" "Speaking." "Good evening, I wanted to clarify about our deal, I have another case filed on me for apparent assault, those dumb twits, but I need you to-"
"Spare me the details, Johnson. The deal is off, and I will no longer fight any cases for you.. I hope you stop with these antics if you want to live a long and prison free life. Oh and Johnson? Better make sure you pay me all my money. Wouldn't want another case on that thick head of yours, now would you, now? Especially not when I myself will make sure no good advocate fights your case for you. Good luck." I hung up the phone, very well knowing that I left him speechless. I frantically hurried to my house and took a cold shower. they always help, but I guess today was just not my day. This was going to be a long night.
