Hey everyoneee. I'm ava and I live in an adoption centre. When you think of an orphanage you probably think of something like Annie...but mine is actually nice. We have access to our own phones and I'd say that we are very fortunate for the clothes we have. We all have our own rooms with decent sized closets and really nice furniture. Considering the amount of people that live here, I really only have one friend. Her names lily and she's also 14.
Speaking of lily, she just busted into my room "avvvaaaa get readyyy" she smiles brightly
I look up at her from my bed "why" I asked
"The fucking ball family are coming to adopt someone" she almost squealed.
I cringed at her swearing "launguage lily!" I sighed "and who is the ball family?"
When I said this, she looked at me like I had ten heads or something. Am I supposed to know who they are?
"Girl how do you not know who the BALL family is? They're literally famous" she shoved her phone in my face going through each of their instagrams
"Why do they want to adopt?" I asked confused
"I don't know Ava, just get ready please" she kissed my cheek and walked out
Oh no...now I have to get ready. I was completely ready to just curl up and watch shows all day. I'm kinda nervous to see them. From what I saw, they are all famous and are quite tall. I'm pretty known to be one the smaller side. I mean, I'm 14 and only 5'2, but that's ok.
I checked the temperature and it said it was 20, so I can finallyyy wear some of my summer outfits I got. I put my AirPods in and played my summer playlist as I walked over to my clothes filled closet.

I walk to lily's room without knocking because we are wayyy past that level of friendship. "Lils is this cute" I do a spin
"Ahhh your so pretty" she smiled
"Thankkk youuu" I hugged her "wait do we need to clean our rooms?" I questioned suddenly alert
Lily laughed slightly "no Ava your ok. Stop stressing they're are going to love you. Even if they don't adopt you, a loving family will. You'll always have me too" she hugged me and I just started crying
Our moment was broke apart when we heard a knock at the door. When I looked at he door, I saw a very tall boy...or man...I'm not sure
"Uhh hi sorry I didn't mean to interrupt or anything, I just heard crying and wanted to make sure everything was ok" he said awkwardly
I wiped my tears and smiled up at him "it's ok" I said brightly
He laughed a little making me confused "I'm lamelo, nice to meet you" he walked closer to me
