Chapter 8: Zuko

"Aww that's sweet of you Iida. Rest assured the feelings semi mutual." Hatsume grinned unaware of the growing blush on the boy's face.

"Wait-what does that mean?"

"Hatsume as much as we want to get them back, you can't keep doing this." Power Loader said as he watched his student wipe her forehead and squint her tired eyes. "You're no good to anyone if you can't barely keep your eyes open."

Placing a hand on her shoulder, Deku nodded in agreement knowing that she felt responsible for everything that's happened, but that didn't mean she deserved to put herself through this. "I'm sure a few hours of sleep will help."

Rolling her shoulders Hatsume lifted the tracer to her face and with a defeated slouch gave a slight nod. "I suppose it won't but let me work on if for just a couple of more hours than I'll try and get some shut eye."

"But no napping in the lab again." Power Loader leaned back against one of the cabinets.

"There is something that's been bothering though."

"What?" Iida asked watching his friend thoughtfully lift a finger to his chin.

"The same question that's been on all of our minds. Why we haven't heard from them, and why none of us can get through to any of their phones unless..."

"Unless they're not even here." Mr. Aizawa finished ribbing his eyes.

Nodding his head Deku addressed the rest of the worried faces in the room. "Hatsume, you said this was a transportation device, right? Well, what if we can't get a hold of them because they're not on earth, at least not in this one."

"Well, this just got more complicated."

"Ok ok so you're telling me that you asked her to be friends?" Kirishima reclarified with wide baffled eyes after hearing Bakugo's story from before.

Wincing from Kirishimas slightly high pitch in voice, Bakugo rubbed his still throbbing temple. "Not so loud idiot!"

"Nah-uh, not just friends..." Kaminari smugly grinned on the ground. "From what he said they're 'best friends'."

"Shut it." Bakugo grumbled painfully aware of his screw up. What the hell was he even thinking talking to her while intoxicated. Or even getting drunk in the first place.

"Dude, I can't believe you friend zoned yourself!" Kaminari laughed out.

"Shut up!" Bakugo barked back, but then lowered his voice when he managed to grab all the others attention. The three of them were currently sitting on the ground a good distance away from everyone since it seemed that this 'team avatar' had beef with his new guy that just showed up and the last thing they wanted to do was get in the middle of whatever was happening, while Uraraka and Mina were busy playing with Appa.

They weren't sure what the deal was but from the looks of if they all seemed pretty upset.

"What do you think that's all about?" Kirishima asked.

"Who cares. I'm already sick of this place." Bakugo mumbled staring at his shoes.

Unable to contain the smile from his face Kaminari fell back laughing. "Hahaha I still can't believe you did that man, that's almost as stupid the reason you got detention for."

"Shut up! and that wasn't stupid!" Bakugo snapped glaring at the laughing guy next to him. "It's not like I knew what the fuck I was saying to Uraraka then ok!"

"You're right." Kirishima gave a half shrug. "It's not like you tried something stupid like try and kiss her or anything." At his friends' sudden silence Kirishima's jaw dropped. "You tried to kiss her?!"
