"Actually I am." Toph gave a slight smile, not at all bothered by it. She did, however, start to frown once the place suddenly got quiet and this Bakugo guy suddenly cleared his throat as if he regretted his previous statement. "Don't worry, it doesn't bother me if that's what you're so worried about. I can still take you on any day of the week."
"That so?" Bakugo couldn't help the impressed smirk growing on his face as he met Urarakas amused brown eyes. "Toph huh?"
"Yup." Her smile came back full force. Maybe having these people around for a little bit wouldn't be too bad. "Uraraka has already filled me in on most of what you guys have been through and I've gotta say...that's pretty impressive."
"She has?" Snapping his head in the gravity girl's direction, he could see her nervously averting her eyes now.
"Don't worry, it's not like she had a choice. I have a pretty good way to tell when someone's lying to me." And as if sensing their unease, she continued to speak. "Don't worry, I won't say anything to the others. They're all pretty great people but are a little skirmish on the trusting side and for good reasons too."
"And you're not?" Bakugo eyed her skeptically.
Shrugging she let her eyes stay on her feet. "I guess you guys just don't give me a bad vibe. I've been through quite a few things myself, but I don't let that affect my future decisions, and logically speaking you guys haven't done anything to make me doubt you otherwise. But rest assured if I do find out you guys are up to no good, I'm not someone you'd want as an enemy." She smirked playfully punching Bakugo's shoulder once they heard voices echoing close by.
"Damn brat..." Bakugo growled, discreetly rubbing his shoulder and ignoring Uraraka's failed attempt to hide her smile.
"Hey you're up!" Kirishima happily grinned jogging up to him. "I just woke up about an hour ago, but my head still feels broken."
"Broken?! Haha that's a good one!" A teenage boy with a small brown ponytail and the brightest blue eyes walked over to Kirishima, playfully patting him on the back as he continued to laugh. "Nice one Kirishima! And you must be Bakugo."
"Yeah, and who the hell are you?" The blond raised an eyebrow at the overly loud boy who continued to make him remember about his stupid hangover after every pound to his skull. "And what's with the damn ponytail?"
"Hey, it's a warriors wolf tail I'll have you know!" The boy pointed what seemed like a boomerang at him.
"It's a warriors wolf knot." Katara smirked at the boy who just pouted back. "This here is my brother Sokka and I'm Katara." She cautiously eyed them crossing her arms as she did so. "The others are still busy exploring the temple."
"Probably busy playing the Pai Sho table or racetracks." Sokka continued to pout wishing he was doing just that, but he knew that they first had to deal with these newcomers as well as figure out what their next plan of action would be against the Fire Nation and the oncoming comet.
"Don't worry Sokka, you'll get your chance." Katara rolled her eyes but at least that seemed to lift his spirits up.
"Anyways, Katara and I are from the south pole-"
"What you mean like Santa Claus?" Kaminari slowly sat up next to Bakugo as Uraraka made her way to him now.
"Great you're awake." Bakugo slowly blinked back at him.
"And no Kaminari, Santa Claus isn't from the south pole." Kirishima chuckled.
"Are you sure?" he asked, still somewhat groggy. "And why does everything seem upside down? Am I still drunk?" Kaminari looked back at his friends and these strange people to help fill him in.
