Phone rings

"Hello?"

"Hey boo!"

You instantly recognize the voice on the other side of the phone as your girlfriend's

"Hey baby, you okay?" You say worried because she doesn't usually call when she's out with her friends, unless it's important. "Yeah, I'm good, I just need you to unlock the door for me. I left my keys on the counter.

You look over to see her keys are in fact on the kitchen counter.

" Okay yeah, where are you?" "I just pulled up outside" "Alright." you say hanging up the phone.

You get up to look out the window, seeing Ava getting out the backseat of the uber thanking the driver. You unlock the door then stand there and wait for her to make it to the door.

As soon as the door is shut, you lean in for a kiss. "Hi baby" You mumble against her lips.
"Hey sexy." She says, after you break away from the kiss, looking down at you in your brand new robe she bought you when she went to the mall yesterday. " I see you like my little gift" She said, fiddling with the belt of the robe. " Yeah, I do. It's really comfortable and cute." "It might be cute but you make it look sexy." "Do I?" You question, while snaking your arms around her neck.
"Mhmm." she hums, leaning in for another kiss

"Well I'm glad you think that because I have a surprise for you." You say, while wiping the remains of her lipstick off the side of her mouth. " Oooh shit, I'm excited now." " You better because I've been preparing for it all day." You say, leading her to your shared bedroom. "Can I guess?" "No, you'll just have to wait and see." You said, secretly smirking.

You finally made it to the bedroom, still hand in hand with Ava. "Get undressed and meet me in the bathroom." You told her, pecking her lips before making your way towards the bathroom, shutting the door behind you. "Oh yeah i'm getting some tonight" you heard her say to herself even though the door was shut. "I heard that!" you yelled to her from the otherside of the door, letting her know she had been caught. " Don't act like it ain't true" She yelled back and you could just hear the smirk in her tone. "Just get undressed girl"

While she was getting undressed, you started to light the candles that you had placed around the tub hours before when she had gone out. You also poured up some of her favorite wine in a wine glass and set it on the bath tray that also had some of the candles on it.

"Are you ready?" She questioned, making sure it was okay for her to come in
"Yeah, come in"

As soon as she walks in, her smile drops.

"Do you like it?" you worriedly asked, noticing her emotions shifted. "You did this for me?" she asked, looking around the bathroom, seeing all the rose petals and candles set up. "Yes, do you like it?"

"Come here." She notices you nervously fidgeting and motions for you to come closer.

You stepped closer into her embrace while still fidgeting. She rested one hand on your waist as the other had a firm grip on your jaw, softly lifting your face for you to make eye contact with her.

"Look at me y/n" she softly demanded. You slowly made eye contact with her.

" This is beautiful baby, were you setting this up the whole time I was gone?" she asked, while looking past you at the entire setup.

"Maybe." you said, with a smile now on your face. " I appreciate it, I do, but why'd you spend all this time just to do this for me? '' she said, looking back at you. " Because we haven't really spent that much time together lately with our work schedules colliding and all'' you explained, slightly embarrassed.

"Baby why haven't you said anything, I could have taken a day or two off for us" she said with a serious look on her face. "I'm sorry" you said looking down in shame. "Don't be sorry, just speak up next time and I will make some arrangements, okay?" "Yeah, okay" you said, nodding while leaning in for a kiss.

"Now let's hop in before it gets cold" she whispered, while leaning her forehead against yours.
