In the realm of endless time, I'll wait,
Yet, trepidation sometimes conquers my heart,
What if you never find your way back?
What if her love eclipses mine from the start?
What if she captures your attention, so rarely?
And I'm left behind, a mere afterthought.
I cannot boast of being the finest; it's true.
But my love for you, unmatched and unsought.
The birds sing their melodies, questioning me,
Asking if your presence will grace my days anew,
While raindrops descend, imploringly they plead,
To wash away the thoughts of a love askew.
For in this universe, uncertain and vast.
I'll cherish the moments we shared, my dear.
And even if you don't come back to me,
Know that my love will never disappear.
Set the birds sharp and the raindrops fall,
I'll brave their inquiries, undeterred and bold.
Within my heart, a promise does reside,
To love you like no one else, as I've always said.
