Chaper 2 - What is that?

Kimberly's POV

Rachel's jaw dropped, along with mine and Henry's.

Please say no. Please say no!

"Yes!!!!" Shrieked Rachel, before attacking him in a hug and kissing him passionately. Everybody around us cheered.

I looked away. How could our so called 'mates' do this to us? The person who they were destined to be with? That fate had chosen us to be together. They're literally going against nature. And what makes it worse is that they chose to do this in front of us and the entire pack.

I couldn't take it anymore, I grabbed Henry and ran out of there as fast as possible. We both shifted and ran. Henry knew what I was going to do, so we both went to our opposite houses. I shifted back and ran upstairs to my room.

I burst through the door and ran straight to my closet. I grabbed a duffel bag from one of the shelves and started shoving clothes into it. I also grabbed some cash that I had stashed from emergencies.

Alot went into my bag ; money, clothes, toiletries, and a picture of me and my family that was taken during the summer. I smiled a little bit. My family loved me and my brother. We were both twins, but with different personalities.

I felt a tear drop, but I quickly wiped it away. I grabbed a piece of paper and a pen. I might as well leave them a note.

As you guys can see, I left. Me & Henry left. They're for personal reasons. Please don't look for us, it will be better off like that. We're not sure if we'll return or not. And we will not contact you, so don't get your hopes up. I'm really sorry for doing this to you guys and making you lose your only daughter. But I had to do this. Just please understand that.

A little tear dropped onto the piece of paper, but I didn't care. Because of our 'mates', me and Henry are forced to leave our families behind. If we stayed it would have been to much pain to bear; having to watch them be all lovey dovey. I'm positive that I wouldn't be able to handle that and I'm pretty sure neither would Henry. It hurts that my mate had rejected me, but hopefully they're happy in knowing that they hurt the one person they were supposed to love unconditionally. 

My thoughts were interrupted by a knock on my window. I looked outside and saw Henry with his backpack on. I walked over to the window and let him in. He immediately engulfed me into a hug. Tears started to form in my eyes and I let them fall.

"Shh. Don't cry Kim. These tears are worth it. We're going to get outta here and live happy together as best friends." Said Henry into my hair.

I nodded and we pulled away.

"I left a note so that they won't come after us. I'm all packed, so lets get going."

He nodded and I grabbed my duffel bag. We walked downstairs and into the garage. I pulled out my keys and headed into one of cars.

"Where are we even going to go?" I asked Henry.

"Just drive and see where the wind takes us.." He responded.

I nodded and drove down the street that I had grown up in. I remember all the good times I would have here. All the water ballon fights, the hide and seeks games, and the rounds of tag with all the kids in the pack. I remember meeting Henry during a hide and go seek game, where I fell out of a tree and scrapped my knee. Henry had found me and kissed it better.
