Chapter 4: Facing Yami

"You're not coming?" Vanessa asked over her shoulder.

"Nah, I already know what I'm wearing to this festival thing." Yami grinned leaning back on the couch and hoping to enjoy what little quiet he could get once they were gone.

When they stepped out Uraraka's eyes widened at the scene in front of her, observing the hustle and bustle of the streets. She could see various different magic knights patrolling in their robes, carriages drawn by horses. It felt like stepping back in time as she surveyed the long line of merchant stalls as they passed by.

"This is so cool." Kaminari curiously glanced on either side trying to figure out what people were selling and frowning. "Are those purple snakes?"

"Oh yeah! They taste so delicious!" Asta screeched excitingly running up to the old lady. "Anyone else want some?"

"Fuck no!"

"Erm...I think we're good for now man." Kirishima rubbed the back of his head as he watched in horror as their new friend devoured one, unaware of the old lady watching them with curious eyes. "But thanks for the offer..."

"Alright ladies let's get started!" Vanessa clapped her hands eyeing the various stores in front of them wondering where they should start first.

After an hour and a half, Finral let out a loud yawn slouched down on a bench with the rest of the guys as they waited for the girls to finish up in the shop.

"Oh, what the hell's taking them so long?" Bakugo groaned halving half a mind to go in there and drag them out himself.

"Trust me, when Vanessa goes shopping this could take a while."

"Oh, we've got some idea." Kirishima chuckled thinking back on all the times they went shopping with Mina. "I bet if you put both her and Mina together then we might end of leaving by the time it gets dark out."

"Please don't say that." Magna dropped his head on the table with a groan. "Yami will kill us if we take too long."

"Alright." Getting to his feet Bakugo marched over to the store, speaking over his shoulder. "Do they have shit in there for us too?"

"They should." Finral said reluctantly following everyone.

"I don't care, as long as they have things for Marie."

"Might as well hurry their asses up while we get our stuff too then."

Upon entering the small establishment, they saw a few people turn to stare at them obviously startled by what they were wearing.

"Well, this keeps getting awkward..." Kaminari said nervously smiling at the people.

"The fuck you looking at?!" Bakugo barked satisfied when he saw them frantically turn away or run out of the shop.

"Well, that ought to do it." Magna chuckled clapping him on the shoulder before walking off to check out some of the fireworks they had on display. "Hey luck, come and look at these!"

"Oi, you morons still didn't tell us what this Eye thing is?" Bakugo eyed some clothes on display, remembering what Yami kept babbling about.

"Oh, the Eye of The Midnight sun my friends, are a group of powerful mages we've been fighting. But they have been rather quiet lately..." A barely audible voice from behind them said making all three boys almost jump out of their skins.

"ARGH!"

"WHERE THE HELL DID YOU COME FROM?!"

"Oh, sorry about that." Finral said stepping to stand next to the pale, black haired awkwardly grinning guy in front of them. "This is Gordon Agrippa one of our teammates."

"Do you always make it a habit to sneak up on people?!" Bakugo stomped his foot.

"Why? Did Bakubro get scared?" Kaminari snickered hearing some of them chuckle.

"NO!"

"Well either way nice to meet you, Gordon." Kirishima grinned extending his hand. "Surprised we haven't seen you around." Hearing Gordon mumble something he couldn't quite make out Kirishima glance at Finral who just shrugged.

"Hey there! You boys just could wait huh?" Vanessa emerged from one of the dressing rooms smiling at everyone. "Don't worry they all look fabulous!"

"Ugh tell me why we have to wear this?" Mina pouted as she walked out of the dressing room wearing a black strapless top underneath a dark purple cloak with a long matching skirt and boots, ignoring the trembling figure of the cashier as he continued to stare at her face and horns.

"Costume." Vanessa reminded the older gentlemen after she finished paying him and he simply nodded. "Alright come out girl's you guys look beautiful." Vanessa grinned watching as Grey shyly stepped out and quickly hid behind her.

"S-Stop looking at me..."

Fondly patting her head Vanessa turned her attention back to the dressing room. "Uraraka come on."

Taking one last look at her reflection, Uraraka nervously played with her hands observing the black and pink lose blouse she wore that sat dangerously low or rather lower than what she was used to, completed with a long black skirt and matching cloak. She decided just to get it over with and briskly walked out.

"Well you see, you girls look gorgeous!" Vanessa grinned, looking over her shoulder at the others. "Don't you guys think?"

"Definitely." Finral's eyes sparkled.

"You guys look great." Kirishima gave them a thumbs up with Kaminari. "Bakubro what do you think?" The red head playfully rubbed his chin watching the blond continue to stare speechlessly at the gravity manipulator.

"Shut up." he mumbled after blinking his eyes a few times, realizing that all eyes were now on him including hers. He quickly cleared his throat ignoring the heat crawling up his face. "Y-Yeah I guess...it doesn't look as shitty." He grumbled.

"Gee thanks Bakugo." Mina rolled her eyes thinking that she really needed to talk to him about how to complement girls as she watched Uraraka stomp out of the store with Bakugos eyes following her out.

"What?!"

"So, I'm guessing Men are just as clueless in your world?" Vanessa quietly asked Mina who chuckled.

"Hah?! Bakugo snapped as Mina and Vanessa gave him an annoyed look. Kirishima patted his shoulder in sympathy as they walked out leaving a clueless Bakugo behind. "What was wrong with what I said?!"
