It is an unusually quiet day at the police station, no calls have come in all day long. All of the officers are just goofing off, as most of them have had time to finish all paperwork they had. Nobody was expecting a call to come in anytime soon, so they all groaned when the phone rang suddenly. The operator picked up “911, what's your emergency?” a man with a scratchy voice replied, “I think there is somebody outside my house.” The operator was not expecting something like this, considering there hasn’t been so much as a domestic dispute all day long. “Are they attempting to enter your house?”
“I-I’m not sure, it sounds like they are scratching the brick outside my house, but it is unusually loud, it sounds like they are using a rake or shovel rather than their nails.”
“Are you able to see this person?”
“No, I am going to walk over to the window so I can get a look at them.”
There was a long silence as the caller walked over to the window then suddenly the caller spoke, almost causing the operator to jump out of her seat. “Y-yes I see it, b-but it's not a person, I-I don’t know what it is.” This startled the operator slightly but she stayed calm and asked “Sir, can you describe the creature to me?”
“Yes. It has red eyes, almost glowing red eyes, it has really sharp long nails with only three fingers on each hand, and it is extremely tall, ten feet maybe.” This information baffled the operator, ‘How can something be ten feet tall and have glowing red eyes with only three fingers?’ she asked herself as she asked her next question “Is it alone?” She knew this was one of the most important questions to ask, so that she can determine how much danger the caller may be in.
The caller’s tone of voice seemed to get more frightened as he answered “I-its saying it’s not alone.”
“Is it able to see you or see into the house at all?”
“Yes, please send an officer right away, I am really scared.”
“Sir, what’s your name and address, I’m sending a unit out now.”
“My name is-” The caller suddenly cut off. “Sir what happened?” The operator wasn’t able to keep the worry out of her tone at this point. The caller now sounded as though he was shaking, “It’s at my window now, staring at me.” The operator hoped her next question would be answered with a ‘Yes absolutely, why wouldn’t they be?!’, “Sir, are your doors and windows locked?”
“Yes I just-” The operator heard a faint ruckus over the phone, but she was unable to pinpoint the sound and what it may have been. “Sir, are you alright?” asked the operator, urgency thick in her voice. The next thing she heard might just haunt her for the rest of her life. The caller screamed a blood curdling scream, and dropped the phone. The operator urgently sent two dispatch units to the address on the caller ID. She could only hope they wouldn’t be too late, to save a very obviously young and innocent man from something they would later find out is much, much worse than anything you will ever find in the depths of hell.
