A Little Change

You're not sure how long you've been there lying in the dark, unable to feel your body... You don't know how you got there, what happened... There is just silence around... Or at least there was, because you start hear something... Yes, there's music somewhere, soft and low... Your body, you can feel it now, it hurts, your head is about to explode in pain... Now you know, you were unconscious.
You try to open your eyes but they're heavy, you blink few times to adjust your vision, but your eyes refuse to open, you're tired and sleepy. You shut them again and feel a little ray of sunlight in your face. You're thinking about how great that warm ray feels, when you remember there was no sunlight before... In that moment, you make your best effort to open your eyes, this time it works. You take a hand to your face to cover from the sun and you can see what is around. You're in a bed, in front of it there's a big window, to your right not so far there's a door. There is little furniture in the room and some posters of classic movies on the walls. You notice the floor is a little messy, it has clothes here and there and look like male clothes.
It takes you seconds to remember the man that covered your mouth.
While you're thinking about it the door gets open. A tall man with curly and long hair appears with a little table on his hands, there's food on the table. He is all in black and wears gloves with no fingers, he looked relaxed, but when his eyes meet yours he froze in the middle of the room.
"I-I'm sorry, I thought, uh I'm Mitchell" He says and you can see he is a little scared. You can tell by the way his voice shakes when he speaks.
You don't respond, you simply don't know what to do. He is the guy you heard fighting with the other guys at the store, but for some reason you don't feel afraid. There's something about him that gets your attention actually, he is clearly handsome, but that's not the only thing that makes you feel interested. You shake a little your head to clear it and focus on what you really have to do, get away.
"What am I doing here?" You say finally, and it surprises you how easy those words came out.
This time Mitchell is the one who doesn't respond. He just keeps looking at you, after a couple of minutes he takes a deep breath, swallow a little and while he is moving to you, he says:
"Okay, I know this is weird and it is fine if you're scared, I understand, but my intension is not to hurt you, I just wanted to help... You were in danger last night".
A little shiver runs through your body when he said "danger".
He seems to notice so he offers you the little table and then without asking he just sits next to you on the bed. You take the table and even though you were not thinking about eating, you stomach groans like a tiger just by looking at the food. It looks delicious, but you decide to start with the glass of orange juice next to the plate.
"Last night? I slept in here?" You ask and give a look to Mitchell. You still have your clothes, but you were feeling a little nervous.
"Oh! Well, yes I brought you here because you felt and hit your head, I tried to hold you, but I couldn't... not sure if you remember and don't worry! I swear I slept outside on the couch" he sounds a little ashamed, he is talking a little fast.
"It's okay... and yeah I remember I didn't know what was going on! I thought you've kill me" you say looking again to his eyes.
Mitchell looked a little hurt by your words, but he tries to smile.
"I know, I know I'm sorry I was actually trying to protect you, but didn't have time to explain"
Your feel your heart beat a little fast when he said he was trying to protect you.
"Oh... uh, I guess I have to thank you then" you reply and you feel your face turning red. You always hated when that happened, so you clear you throat again and continue saying:
"Because yes, those guys took the hell out of me! But did you know them? What did they want?".
"I didn't know them, but I know what they... Listen, I don't wanna be rude, but I don't think you would understand, all I can tell you is that you were at the wrong place, at the wrong time".
You stop drinking the juice and stare at Mitchell's eyes. They are brown and intense, beautiful and a little sad. He is a mystery to you and you feel a need to explore it, but again as you find yourself looking too much into his eyes and notice he is doing just the same, you look down to the glass, clear your throat one more time and say:
"Sure, uh thanks for the help and the juice, I think is time for me to go".
Then you put the glass back to the table, put it aside and try to get up from the bed, when you do it the room moves around you and your feet seem unable to handle your body.
Mitchell takes you by your waist and you put your hands on his arms, when the dizziness is over, you find your face very close to his. Your eyes meet Mitchell's one more time and he says:
"Easy, you need to recover and... I cannot let go, not for a while".
