"Hmph? Can I? Where..?"
"At some university campus. Zhu-jie, where is it?"
"Beijing Capital gymnasium."
"Oh.. can she come?"
"You want to?" she asked me.
"What time is it?" I asked.
"Three thirty."
"I don't mind.."
"I can maybe get a special entrance for you, or you can come along with us like a staff or something."
"Oh.. eh, if it is too troublesome.. then never mind.." I said.
"Is it ticketed?" he asked.
"Yes."
"Oh.."
"It's okay -" I said.
"Later you give me your number, I'll send you the details once I arranged," Zhu-jie said instead.
"I-"
"Thank you Zhu-jie!" JC piped.
Gosh, I have once again inconvenienced her again.
By the time she dropped us off at JC's place, it was nearly seven because of the peak hour traffic.
"Are you hungry?" he asked me.
"A little.. Are you going to cook?" I teased him.
"I can if you can wait."
I nodded.
I went to help him in the kitchen even though he told me to go have a soak in the bathtub. But I've always found men when at work or cooking, are very sexy. So I stayed out. I wanted to contribute as well so I helped to wash and chop the vegetables. He was cooking a soup, frying a fish, and vegetables. Quite a balanced meal.
I'm not good at frying fish because I'm afraid of the oil so he told me to stand back. I watched him as he did it like a pro, obviously not the first time cooking.
When he was frying the vegetables, I slipped my arms around him and hugged him from behind.
"What are you doing?" he chuckled.
"Adding difficulty to you. It seems too easy for you.. Why are you so perfect?"
"I'm not.."
"You are to me."
I helped to lay the table with the utensils and rice. Both of us didn't want to eat that much rice. Once the dishes are out too, we sat down for dinner.
"Hmmm!" I took a sip of the soup first.
"How is it?" he looked at me.
I gave him a thumbs up. "Excellent. Best soup I ever had."
"Haha, then you must not have many soups."
"You are wrong. I have too many soups. I'm a soup person. I usually finish up my soup first before everything else."
"Oh..?"
"Ya.. and this is good. You must share the recipe with me."
"It's not that difficult." And he proceded to tell me the recipe.
"Send to me in text also. I'll forget."
"Jeez.."
The fish was excellent too. I never had such a more perfectly fried food. The skin was crispy and the meat tender and sweet. The sauce was excellent and did not overpower the fish.
"Where did you learn to cook?" I asked him.
"Online.. my mom.. tv shows.."
"You are gifted."
He laughed.
"If you quit being an artiste, you can be a chef," I told him.
"I just like to cook."
We finished up dinner and washed up the dishes. Then we went to take our showers.
I received a text from Zhu-jie later giving me the details to the fan meeting tomorrow. She had procured a ticket for me but she said it wouldn't be front row. I'm fine with that.
"I've caused extra work for Zhu-jie," I told him.
"No.."
"She didn't have to get me a ticket.."
"Because she knows how much I want you to be there," he said.
"Hmph?"
"It will be your first time going to my live event and watching me at work. I want to introduce you to my world."
I smiled. I would love to understand more about his world.
"But I hope you won't be intimidated by the fans.."
"Hmph?"
"They can be quite aggressive.."
"Haha, I know.. It's not my first time to such event." He raised an eyebrow in surprise. "I have my idols too."
"All those kpop stars?"
I nodded. "When we get the chance, we should attend a kpop concert together."
"Okay," he nodded. "Deal."
