The boatman took us out to the middle of the lake before stopping there. It was a view looking out between two curves of the mountains. Good for sunrise spotting. To be honest, even though there was no wave, it was a quiet peaceful lake and hardly moving, I am still rather afraid. The raft was flat and almost level with the water. It was like if the water level just rise a little, we'll get flooded.
After we stopped, the boatman settled down in his seat as well but facing the other direction so as to give us privacy. But how much privacy can we have with other person just a few steps away... jeez..
We were just in time. It was not long before the dawn breaks. It was absolutely breath-taking. I forgot about my fear.
He took my hand, and I squeezed his hand back.
There was no words to be exchanged at this moment as we immersed in the beauty of nature. And at this moment, I just thought, I'm the luckiest girl in the whole wide world.
"I'll never imagine you to be such a romantic guy," I teased him after we returned to shore and got off.
"What do you mean?"
"You don't look like it," I chuckled. "And I thought you'll just be busy.."
"I'm busy but I will spare no expense for the people I love," he said. "Precisely because I'm busy, I want to give two hundred percent to all the people I love and care about."
"You try to make up for it.."
"In a way yes. I always feel terribly guilty for not able to spend enough time with my family so I try to make it up as much as I can. When I get home, I try to spend all the time with my family.. cook them a good meal or take them out for a good meal. One day, I would like to take them out on a trip too."
"Hmph.." I nodded.
"And now, even more so with you..." he said. "Because our time together is so limited. I want to create as much memories as I can."
I smiled.
We walked back to the villa and JC bought breakfast for Zhu-jie. I wanted to as well, for all she had done for us. So we had breakfast together, talking about what we had done so far. I also realised JC don't really have any secrets from her, like he's quite open to share what we did and gone to. I don't really mind it but I think some other girlfriends might.
After breakfast, we went up to change and wash up. Since Zhu-jie was driving, we were not in a hurry to get back. We still have half a day to spend here. So JC suggested if we should all go for an ATV ride together, have fun together. Zhu-jie was hesitant but gave in when both of us relented.
The ATV place was just next to the resort. We rented two ATVs. I was riding with JC. I didn't trust my driving skills. Before we start, JC checked both me as well as Zhu-jie that we were properly geared and belted up. Zhu-jie scolded him for being so motherly. I laughed.
We had a good great fun for an hour though our ATV got stuck in the sand halfway when JC tried to challenge Zhu-jie and she overtook us easily. She's not only a good driver on the normal road but also on the ATV!
We had lunch together at the resort cafe before we checked out. Then we left at around three pm, for the long drive back to the city.
I can't believe our two days vacation together was coming to an end. I couldn't help feeling a little sad..
"What will you be doing tomorrow?" he asked me.
"Hmm.. I haven't thought of it. Any good recommendations?"
"All the temples and the parks I suppose.."
"Hmmm.."
"Actually... I have an event tomorrow afternoon.. a fan meeting, do you want to come?"
